"We had a pleasant stay for one night at Hotel Mezquita. There is no elevator but the lady at the front desk was very helpful and carried our big suitcase to our room. Our room faced the inner courtyard, which was peaceful and lovely. We enjoyed the rain shower, great water pressure. We also enjoyed the quaint character of the hotel, with its vast collection of art, furniture, and religious items. "

"NOT a 5 star hotel...maybe 4 if you overlook a lot. Also not pet friendly. Perhaps pet tolerant as your pet is only allowed in the room and in the hallways after paying a large per night fee. The rooms are small and somewhat dirty. We had a glass that looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks. One of the outlets popped right out when we unpluged a charger. House keeping does not change sheets every day. Some of the rooms just face an outdoor brick wall. The pool looked beyond disgusting, i wouldnt send my dog in it, yet alone swim in it. Overlall not worth the money. The best part was that the staff was friendly and helpful."

"Staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. The neighborhood is very engaging and walkable. The hotel is rich with history and it’s both clean and interesting. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with windows/ balcony overlooking the park. Terrific place to stay. "
