Cozy cabin outside Glacier National Park. Private hot tub + pet-friendly!
Ten minutes from Glacier National Park's western entrance, Bobcat Cabin is a cozy, rustic-modern cabin in the quiet gateway town of Coram, MT.
Bobcat Cabin has an open floor plan common area (living room, kitchen, and bar-style dining), a master bedroom (1 king bed and a twin bunk), a loft-style sleeping area (with two full-size beds), and a full-size bathroom with a washer and dryer. The outdoor space features a private dining area with a private hot tub, gas grill, and a small fire pit.
Guests have full access to the house, driveway, and outdoor space. Enjoy!
Give us a holler any time with questions about trip planning, area recommendations, or anything you may need during your stay. Beyond that, we give you the space to enjoy your cabin and the surrounding nature in peace.
8 miles from Glacier National Park (Apgar / West Glacier gates) and close to the amenities of the towns of Coram, Hungry Horse, West Glacier, and Columbia Falls, this is the perfect location for exploring Glacier and the surrounding areas.
*15 minutes to the entrance of Glacier National Park *12 minutes to the Hungry Horse Dam *1 hour to Polebridge *15 minutes to downtown Columbia Falls, MT *28 minutes to downtown Whitefish, MT *37 minutes to Kalispell, MT *40 minutes to Big Fork, MT
Getting around: We find that guests are best able to explore Glacier and the surrounding areas by vehicle. Several of our guests also enjoy biking around the area and neighborhood (pro tip: Going-to-the-Sun Road opens exclusively to bikers in the springtime as they’re clearing snow, so spring is a great time to bring or rent a bike!).
Winter driving: Our region is subject to heavy snowfall and icy conditions throughout the winter (and occasionally in the fall and spring), making for unpredictable driving conditions. If you’re planning to visit during the winter, consider snow tires, snow chains, and any other supplies you may want for winter conditions.
Parking is located below the cabin (going towards Coram Stage Rd); you can fit two cars here. During the winter, you can park in the drive above the cabin. We don’t allow boat or RV parking in the driveway due to its small, tight size and grade.
Before you book, read on to learn about a couple of property quirks to make sure we’re the right fit for your outdoor adventure:
While we made your cabin as comfortable as possible, we still are located in a remote area and encourage our guests to prepare for some rustic experiences. That can mean hot summers, drafty winters, or the occasional four-to-eight-legged friend around the property or grounds. We like to think of ourselves as an extension of the Greater Glacier Ecosystem, so it’s all part of the fun!
In true Montana fashion, a very active train runs near the property; it's required to engage its horn when crossing the street and can be disruptive, especially to light sleepers. You'll find a white noise machine, fan, and earplugs in the unit to help with the sound.
While we do offer WiFi, the speed of our Internet *may* take twenty years off your life (although we promise the restorative power of nature will put those years right back on). While we can assure you we’ve spent countless hours with every single ISP in the area and offer up the best we possibly can, the Internet may intermittently go out or run slowly.
This cabin has spiral stairs (to the upstairs sleeping loft) that may be unsafe for small children or people with ambulatory limitations.
We have three other cabins on the same property, each with plenty of private space. The layout feels suburban-rural.
For the safety of our guests, we maintain an outdoor security camera covering the entrance to the cabin. We like to keep an eye on bear activity on trash days, hazardous elements including fires and snow, and other precautionary measures to make sure that you have a safe and smooth stay.
Winters here are beautiful, but they can be intense. Snow shedding from the roof and icy/snowy walkways can be dangerous and difficult to pass, particularly for people with ambulatory issues. We’re also subject to mountain snowstorms that can occur early in fall and well into the spring. Heavy, wet snow and regular freeze-thaw patterns intermittently result in extremely icy driveways and walkways here and around town--we recommend Yaktrax and 4x4 vehicles in winter.
While Glacier National Park is open year-round, several roads close during winter (typically beginning in the fall and ending in late spring or early summer). Visit the NPS website for more information on off-season services and closures.
Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups.
Our cabin and the public lands surrounding it are located on or near the ancestral homelands of the Amskapi Piikani (the Blackfeet Nation of Montana), the Niitsítapi (the Blackfoot Confederacy), the Séliš (Salish), Ql̓ispé (Pend d’Oreille or Kalispel), and Ktunaxa (Kootenai) tribes. Please travel responsibly and respectfully when visiting tribal lands and inform yourself of any rules, regulations, and permits before visiting.
We hope you enjoy this neck of the woods as much as we do. Welcome to the greater Glacier region! To respect our community, fellow guests, and neighbors (plant and animal neighbors included!), we ask that our guests agree to a few house rules during their stay. Give us a holler with any policy questions or concerns you may have!
Pets: Our pet fee is $20 per dog per night. We can accommodate a maximum of two dogs (and dogs only at this time), but get in touch with us if you have a special circumstance. Let us know if you plan to bring your furry friend(s) along, and we’ll share our full policy.
Hot tubs: Please read the hot tub rules posted in your cabin guide before taking a dip.
Leave No Trace: Respecting public lands and waters, Native and local communities, and our property is important to us. Please leave what you find and dispose of waste properly.
Garbage and Food Storage: Please secure the dumpster locking mechanism and secure your trash and food items to prevent wildlife break-ins. Northwestern Montana is a very active bear habitat (black and grizzly); trash break-ins put both your life and the life of the bear at risk.
Fire Safety: Your cabin is located in a region extremely susceptible to wildfires. To prevent catastrophic wildfires, injury, property damage, and strain on our local fire department, we have a few rules: No fireworks on the grounds, observe local fire bans before making a bonfire, properly control and extinguish bonfires, turn off grills after use, do not leave grills or fires unattended, and obtain fire permits for any bonfires created on surrounding public lands.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours begin at 10 pm and end the following morning at 8 am.
Extra Guests: We don’t permit extra guests beyond what’s listed in your cabin’s capacity max. If you plan to invite non-guests on site for any reason, please have your plans pre-approved with a member of our team.
Events: At this time, we don’t allow guest events (such as weddings, parties, and so forth) on the property. We’re happy, however, to book your larger-sized group in one of the three neighboring cabins as long as you maintain respect and capacity numbers in each rental, keep noise levels to a minimum, and abide by our policies.
Smoking: Our cabin is smoke-free, but if guests need to smoke, we ask that they abide by a few rules. Please get in touch with us for our policies covering where to smoke, cleanup, and violations.
Early Check-In and Late Check-Out: At this time, we’re unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have a unique situation.
Cancellation: Please contact us for more information on cancellation policies and refunds.

My wife and I had a terrific weekend stay. The cabin was very idyllic, inviting and loading with amenities. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Very clean, nice shower, has everything you need. Terrific communication with host!
Well designed cabin with modern rustic vibe. So cozy, just off the beaten path. Restaurants and tourist attractions a short drive away. Well maintained and managed property.
The check in process was smooth! The cabin was clean and absolutely stunning. We even got into the hot tub and it was perfect. Any questions we had were answered, it was extremely close to food places. It was overall an amazing stay. Thank you again!
This cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking. Short drive to West entrance of GNP. Loft area was great for teenagers. Beautiful shower and so nice to have a washer and dryer!
This was a great cabin so close to Glacier with amenities like the hot tub, fully stocked with anything we may have forgotten ourselves like shampoo, conditioner, everything. They were even so thoughtful as to have earplugs for any train noise.
It was so easy checking in. Communication was really good. Everything was clean and exactly what we were expecting! Amazing view! Host were very nice as well!
This beautiful rustic mountain cabin was a mix of old and new. All the kitchen and bathroom features were state of the art. The beds were comfy and the airiness of the high ceilings was perfect.
We had an awesome stay and really enjoyed the cabin. They wonderful to work with and communicated very well. The cabin had everything we needed and more! They really thought of everything. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and we loved being close to Glacier!
The cabin bobcat cabin was perfect for me and my wife’s honeymoon! We loved the cozy feel and full kitchen and the hot tub was our favorite part! The hosts were amazing and extremely helpful to us and were always very quick to help with anything! They really seem to love the area and desire to share this amazing cabin
It was nice to come to a hot tub after 3 days of backcountry hiking. Train tracks are close and loud but the house is charming and the beds are very comfortable.
Great clean and modern spot. Yet just enough local flavor to let you know you are in Montana. The location is convenient to the Park and other local attractions.
Plus the new hot tub made those long hikes not hurt so much.
The host were very informative and wonderful to work with.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
We enjoyed the cabin! Montana's mountains, rivers, and lakes are beautiful, so we came and were not disappointed. It is a short distance to Glacier National Park. Attention to detail, clean, nice decor, comfortable beds, kitchen, and bathroom well stocked with essentials in case you forgot items. We enjoyed the hot tub and dinner on the grill. I'd stay again!
We enjoyed the well-stocked Bobcat cabin and its location was extremely convenient to west Glacier. The train coming through does take a little getting used to…but the hot tub and fire were perfect on a chilly Montana night. Places we also enjoyed in the area were Last Best Pizza, the Belton Chalet, Glacier Distillery and the kids loved the Amazing Fun Center down the road.
This was a great cabin for my family of 5, though it could have easily slept 3 more people. We spent a few days exploring Glacier National Park, especially West Glacier, and this was a great home base. It was about 15 minutes from the park entrance and also close to Columbia Falls with restaurants and a grocery store. We'd stay here again if we can get back to the area!
This was a perfect little cabin for our honeymoon stay in Glacier! The hot tub was amazing after our long days exploring the park. Only downside was the active train but our hosts provided earplugs and noise machines to distract from it during the night. Loved the look and all the details in the cabin!
The cabin is amazing and has a great feel. Super cozy and immaculately built, with great attention to details e.g., the rain shower. The hot tub was a hit and has a view of the outdoor fire pit. The location is convenient to Glacier Park and local restaurants. There is a train that goes by, but it oddly wasn’t disruptive. The owners were super responsive and accommodating.
Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bobcat cabin was well-appointed and tastefully furnished. Thoughtful book of recommendations. Bear spray. Hot tub. Plenty of towels. We would definitely book this place again!
Also, we had the benefit of being close to Josephine, a wonderful newer restaurant that we visited twice in our four-night stay.
We absolutely loved this cabin! It was near the park entrance and felt very secluded in the trees. It was immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed. It was even stocked with extra shampoo, conditioner and soap just in case. All appliances seemed brand new. We loved the rustic but very modern decor. Yes, you can hear the train as the tracks are very close but that didn’t bother us at all. We would stay here again and again. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
We had a tough 2 day hike in Glacier and came back to this amazing place. The hike itself was rugged and pretty unpleasant but when we got back and saw this place, we completely reset. The amenities were great (the hot tub was awesome). And the communication before and after was perfect. We could not have asked for more.
We loved this cabin. It was beautifully built and even though right in town it felt very secluded. Loved the hot tub. They had everything we needed. It was close to Glacier and convenient. Yes the train was loud but it didn’t come through that often and it never woke us up at night. The beds were comfortable. Worked well for our family of four but could definitely accommodate more. There were even guide books and stuff there and that was nice. Thanks for the great stay!
My son loves to photograph and drone trains and this was the second time staying at this truly luxurious cabin in Coram. I grew up in Whitefish, MT and I really enjoy recreating in my old stomping grounds without all of the tourons. We enjoyed a picnic at Lake McDonald, went to Essex and East Glacier. If you like to railfan and don’t mind spring weather YOU must rent one of the Snowcat cabins. If you don’t enjoy hearing trains, they of course provide ear plugs. The Bobcat cabin is gorgeous, has very comfortable beds, nice hot tub and huge walk-in shower. The hosts are hands-down the best I’ve encountered. Highly recommend!!!
Last minute trip decision to some place we had never been to celebrate what would have been my brothers 40th birthday.
I was allergic to something in the cabin. Aside from that it was basically what we expected. It was a great trip! The hosts were really great. Very helpful.
