Coral Ridge Hotels, Fort Lauderdale

"Well my stay started off being a bit uneasy but in the end it was quite a pleasant stay! I thought the room was not ideal at first as I got a bit confused and mixed up with the sofa bed. The sofa bed do actually opens up nicely into a bed to sleep 2. The King bed was really soft and comfy. My mom had good nights rest. I had some hiccups with my bill but it was sorted out and the hotel took care of my other charges for the inconvenience. I was so surprised by this as I traveled all around and this was a first for me! Excellent team at this hotel as I realized they take pride and ensure their guests are comfortable and happy. At the hotel restaurant it also was the same as the staff were ensuring guests were comfortable. I would totally stay again and recommend others to stay! "

"Very clean room. Quick check in. Easy beach access and lots of food choices on property. Only issue was the ladies in the soda shop were not friendly at all and seemed annoyed to be there."

"Room was clean and spacious. Love the ocean view from the room. Super quick walk to beach and boardwalk activities. Hotel was great and so was the staff. Very quick response time when we requested more towels, toilet paper, etc. they were at our door within 5 minutes. Pool area was nice and overall great experience!"

"The place is nice. The pool area is nice. We felt like it nickled and dimed you for everything. If you wanted a pool lounge chair closest to fence to be able to look out while by the pool, you had to pay to rent it. These should have bee included. There were lounge chairs in front of the resort, on the beach, that also had to be rented. The place next door provided those for their guest. With my family of 4, we would have paid $ 60a day to sit by the beach or at the pool looking out at the beach. The cost of the hotel is not worth the price for what you get. The drinks were ridiculously expensive at the hotel bar and pool bar, 2 drinks $40. "

"All pay for parking even for guests. Great location, tv connection kept breaking down was useless. A/C and refrigerator was old and loud. Cleanliness not great. Property needs work. Beach chairs and towels for beach was provided that was a plus."

"Great hotel! Right on beach. A 15 min walk to Los olas blvd. Uber is about $15 average. Lots of golf carts but those are more expensive rides. Pools are nice. Lots of beach chairs "

"It was convenient to the airport but seemed understaffed. Could not get a blanket for my daughter! I appreciated the airport shuttle but coffee in the lobby would have made it much better!"

"We reached out to customer service on the day of check in to explain that my partner was experiencing severe food poisoning and to request an early check-in so she could have a place to rest. We were directed to submit the request through the “virtual front desk” as this is the ONLY way to request this accommodation. Two days later—at 10:30 AM on the day of checkout—the request was still pending. Despite this, we received a message stating they were happy they were able to accommodate our request, which is angering after having to watch my partner struggle with nowhere to rest for hours as we waited for the request to be accepted the day of check in days earlier. No communication. No follow up. Not even a response in the app we were so flippantly directed to.  Dear Hillsboro Beach Resort by Kasa, and whoever is on the other end of your guest text support: If you plan to rely on a “virtual front desk” for guest requests, there needs to be a timely and reliable response system in place. I truly hope that when you or someone you love is 1,500 miles away from home and experiencing that much difficulty, you are treated with more compassion and care than you treated us with. I understand that policies and systems are in place for operational reasons, but in situations involving guest health and well-being, some degree of flexibility and human decency/responsiveness is essential. One star is too many.  "
