Slightly disappointed with the room

The place ia very beautiful. The rooms not so much. The room we got looked bigger in the pictures so we were a little disappointed when we got a very tiny room for 4 people. Very small tv that didnt work. The shower was also super tiny and the water was switching from warm to cold and back all the time. Not sound proof at all. Lots of stairs to go to the room so not easy if you have big luggages. Breakfast didnt have a lot of options but what was served was really fresh and good.

This property is a little out of the way, but worth the drive. It is a beautiful place that I wish we were staying longer. If you have mobility issues there is no elevator and steps to most of the rooms

Amazing place in a beautiful setting. Our car sat nav didn’t recognise the address so a little difficult to find. It’s incredibly well sign posted if you know to look just for Montepaolo. Locals are super friendly to get advice! The place itself is beautiful, wish we’d planned to stay longer.

This property@approx 190 euros per night sup room,is well overpriced we stayed in as good if not better accomodation for half this price,the staff apart from Anna,were totally indifferent to the guests needs,if you needed a drink at the pool no one to serve you,you had to walk back to reception to ring a bell till someone came,then it took ages to be delivered,the gardens were unkempt,our companion had no hot water one day,also during our 4 day stay they had no TV or WiFi. The masseria concentrates on being a venue for weddings,baby showers,birthdays etc and paying guests take a back seat when these are on,the property is very isolated and devoid of any atmosphere,we ate dinner one night,which was ok but not inspiring,we were served by the owner who was clueless as to our order,on checking out we were charged for two nights dinner and drinks,but these were deducted after some discussion, Anna on reception was excellent and is the saving grace of this establishment,she worked tirelessly to meet our needs,but unfortunately was let down by the rest of the team. I would say do your homework properly and book somewhere else,because this establishment does not offer a laid back luxury experience,

Our stay at Masseria Montepaolo was disappointing despite its potential. The photos promise luxury, but poor management and maintenance undermine the experience. We arrived at 3:00 PM but had to wait an hour and a half for our room, despite repeated “just 10 more minutes” updates. The promised upgrade to a larger room seemed unlikely, as the hotel was fully booked, and the room was still small. The “fully-equipped spa” advertised on Expedia was under construction, leaving us without this amenity despite repeated promises to arrange access at a sister hotel. This felt like false advertising, as key facilities weren’t available. Maintenance was another issue—showers were unpredictable, with water temperature and pressure constantly fluctuating. Staff promised fixes, but the problems persisted. Dining had potential with a charming garden and quality local products, but loud beach bar techno music ruined the ambiance. Complaints were met with minimal response, which was disappointing for a hotel that should offer peace and quiet. In summary, Masseria Montepaolo needs better management to address these issues and deliver the experience it advertises. The hotel could be wonderful, but misleading promises and poor service make it fall short. A note for travelers: there are no elevators, so heavy luggage or mobility issues could be a problem.

Un angolo di paradiso immerso nel verde vicino a Polignano a Mare Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno in questa splendida masseria immersa nella natura, a pochi minuti da Polignano a Mare, ed è stata un’esperienza rigenerante. La struttura è una dimora storica curata con amore, circondata da un giardino incantevole che trasmette subito una sensazione di pace e serenità. La piscina è perfetta per le famiglie: i bambini possono divertirsi a giocare nel prato mentre gli adulti possono godersi il relax sotto il sole e l’aria fresca della campagna pugliese. La colazione è stata una piacevole sorpresa, con un’ampia scelta tra dolce e salato, prodotti freschi e locali, servita in un ambiente accogliente. Il personale è sempre stato gentile, disponibile e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta con il sorriso. Un luogo ideale per chi cerca tranquillità, natura e ospitalità autentica. Torneremo sicuramente!

Worst manners at the restaurant.

The service at the restaurant was terrible. Waiters don’t speak English, act like they don’t see our Family. Served 2 tables before us, while we where the first ones to come to the Restaurant. Waited for a chance to pay at least 30-45 min, eventhough there was only 6 tables occupied and there was 2 waiters. Maybe the problem for a waiter was that we don’t speak Italian, or that we where with 1-year old son, I don’t know but we felt quite embarassed - there where no signs of good maners or treating people like they need to. Nevertheless, two ladies at the front desk where very nice and lovely, tried to help with every question.
