We enjoyed our stay so much. This cabin was perfect for that camping feel without sacrificing comfort. We have been wanting to stay here for a while and I’m so glad we finally got the chance. The cabin was the perfect size for adventuring and coming back to sleep. The outdoor kitchen was neat. We didn’t cook anything or get to use the fire pit because of the burn ban and wildfire risk, but we hope to do that next time. We loved the isolated feeling. There aren’t a bunch of cabins or houses stacked right up on top of each other, so it was very peaceful. At the same time, we weren’t so isolated that we couldn’t get help if we needed it. We were super close to everything we wanted to do, like elk viewing and hiking trails. Always do Lost Valley Trail. It’s jsut beautiful. We finally did Hawksbille Crag. They say it’s a bucket list hike, and they aren’t lying. Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca has gas and souvenirs and coffee. There were also two dogs who visited us who were so sweet. My kids cried and cried when we left. They loved the dogs. They named them Columbia and Shadow. I wonder what their real names were. The only improvement I could recommend would be wifi. Not because I was wifi, but because our cell signal was really bad and we had trouble communicating with family back home who were watching our animals and wanting to know when we made it in from hiking. But that’s not to say we had no cell signal ever. It was jsut spotty. Again, we really enjoyed our stay and the owners were very helpful. We plan to stay again and have already recommended it to friends.
