"The cabin was nice. Plenty of room especially upstairs. We took advantage of the one load laundry service provided. That was nice (and unique). The hot water was plentiful. There were nice little touches like a vase full of flowers, wine, and candy. The beds are firm (not necessarily a bad thing, but if you like a softer mattress, you need to be aware). We noticed that the microwave was showing its age. We let Kathy know and she brought us a brand new replacement the next day. Very cool!The upstairs is like its own little house minus a kitchen. A few notes... the recessed light fixtures in the angled ceiling burn very hot. A pillow ended up getting scorched. So keep an eye out to make sure small children are safe from trying to touch one of them. We let Kathy know so hopefully she will be able to change those out soon to LED light bulbs. The shower leaks water onto the floor. It is due to a ledge around the whole tub. The shower needs a curtain that goes around the whole tub. Recommend using the shower downstairs to avoid water cleanup. Our focus was hiking. This place was within a 20 minute drive of all but one hike we did. The property has a nice trail.Kathy is a terrific host. You can tell she really wants you to enjoy your stay and only asks for minimal tasks to be done on checkout. Her reply... you are on vacation, I take care of it. We would definitely choose this cabin again."

"We had a disappointing experience with this rental after checkout. We acknowledged that our 5 year-old and 3 year-old twins caused some issues and repeatedly tried to work with the owner in good faith, asking for photos, receipts, and an itemized list of damages (including a rough cost per item) so we could make things right.At first the host was responsive and said "we will send photos and receipts for repair". However, after we asked to have a conversation with the owner to get on the same page, she became unresponsive. Robin then withheld our full 1,500 damage deposit without providing any photos or receipts as she promised. My wife and I then reached out to VRBO as we felt like we were taken advantage of. A few days later, damages were reduced to 1,000 (which we did end up paying). However, we still haven't received any photos or an itemized list with costs as we were promised.Separately, we also wish the listing had disclosed that the property requires driving nearly 3 miles on a very rough gravel road. We ended up with a flat tire on the way in, costing us about 500 to repair. Some locals that helped us get to the property told us this road is known for causing tire damage.Overall, the property is nice and has a lovely view. Just be very warry of the owner being very difficult to work with. In looking at the reviews, it seems we aren't the first person with this experience as another visitor had an issue with dirty towels and a broken deck chair."

"I booked online obviously. I called and the guy Patel on the line started yelling at me before I even arrived. I wanted to check in early if possible. I over looked it and showed up after the call. Im going to skip the run down on it being worn out and dirty and depressing. Like the mini fridge has a pawn shop price tag on it still. I went in the room and sat at the table digging through my bag for evening clothes. A live bed bug crawled onto my bag. Instinctively I blew it off my bag. I instantly regretted not taking a photo. Then I pulled the covers back and seen a dead bed bugs on the sheet. I did take a photo of that one. I was so grossed out I left immediately. I called Expedia. They called Patel. He yelled at the Expedia guy and refused a refund. So I guess im disputing it with the bank. Not recommended."
