About this property
Bluestone Manor--spacious mountain home for your next adventure
Welcome to Bluestone Manor, a restored mountain home on 3 acres adjacent to the Bluestone State Park and Bluestone Lake. The home offers 3500 square feet and has everything you need for a perfect vacation in the mountains. Now that snow is abundant and spring skiing is great nearby, it is time to book your great ski vacation. Or look to warmer weather for a spring or summer trip. Whether you like to hike, fish, hunt, golf, ski or simply hang out and read or watch movies, our home has it all. The four bedrooms sleep 10 in beds ( 1 king, 3 queens, 2 twins ) with a queen murphy bed and twin sleeper to round out the number to 13. You will enjoy watching movies and shows in our theater/media room with real reclining theater chairs and surround sound. The main living room also has an 85 inch TV with seating for 12 plus a table that seats 7-8. The fully stocked chefs kitchen has all the appliances and amenities to prepare meals for large numbers including a 36 inch cooktop, two refrigerators, microwave, oven, air fryer, blender, and even a built-in icemaker capable of making 50 lbs of ice per day. We also have a stocked coffee bar with both drip and Keurig cup coffeemaker. The breakfast room table has a great view of the mountains and seats 6. The home has been completely remodeled with all new floors, paint, fixtures, and furnishings. The beds have high-end mattresses like Beauty Rest Black and Tempurpedic. Outside, you will find a huge flagstone patio with seating for 20 people including 4 soft recliners, two tables, a gas grill, and a propane fire table. New for this winter is a outdoor firepit with firewood (just bring the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers). For pickleball players, Bluestone Manor has a full size court. For music lovers, you will find a Yamaha Clavinova piano in the great room. Unique to the house is its laundry facilities. There are two washers and three dryers, two of which are commercial size. As nice as the home is, the best part is its location. Bluestone State Park which borders the property offers hiking trails, a pool, picnic areas, and most importantly Bluestone Lake. The lake, which is part of the New River, is 10 miles long and is surrounded by the State Park and the Bluestone Wildlife Management Area. Opportunities abound for great boating and some of the best fishing in West Virginia. Just down the road about 15 minutes you will find Pipestem Resort State Park, the gem of West Virginia parks. At Pipestem there is every outdoor activity that there is. Whether it is golfing on the 18 hole golf course or the 9 hole short course, ziplining the 9 station zipline into the gorge, riding the gondola for a meal at the Mountain Creek Lodge, hiking one of the 20 trails, mountain biking, or having the kids play at the splash park, Pipestem has something for everyone. The home is also only a few miles from the newest National Park, the New River Gorge National Park. Offering more hiking, white water rafting on the New River, and some of the best views in the country, the park is open year round and at no charge! If you want to have some fun in the winter, Winterplace Ski Resort is only a 30 minute drive. Even if you don't ski, Winterplace has an awesome tubing center that will whisk you down the hill and carry you back up to do it all over again.
We have stayed in a lot of mountain houses that are great, but are so far from civilization that even getting simple groceries is a long drive. Not so at Bluestone Manor. Hinton, WV is a 12 minute drive and offers a Kroger grocery store, a Walgreens pharmacy, and many restaurants. Hinton is also home to the Railroad Museum and has an Amtrak station. We recommend taking a train ride through the New River Gorge or up the tracks to the Greenbrier Hotel, an experience you will never forget.

If you’re looking for amazing views, then you love space this is the house for you. The owner is amazing very accommodating and everything is just perfect. The views are breathtaking.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful spacious home. Plenty of room for all 10 of us. It’s located near winter activities, and we look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy warm weather activities. Mark quickly responded to any questions and was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!
This house was large with lots of space to spread out, but also designed to allow for time together. The home was clean and the owner was easy to work with. The views were lovely from the back. My family enjoyed the theater room at night. I works recommend this property.
Our family had a great stay at Bluestone Manor. The property is well suited for a large family or group. It has large common spaces and a great outdoor area. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. There is a well stocked kitchen that opens to the family areas. The theater room was a popular place during our stay. The property is also close to Bluestone Lake which has many recreational opportunities. We look forward to returning in the future.
This home has plenty of room for everyone to spread out or be together in one space. There are many seating areas and the bedrooms are spacious as well. It’s an older home, but very clean. There are 2 showers-one upstairs and one downstairs. We enjoyed Winterplace Ski Resort which was a 30 min. drive from the home as well as exploring the area close to the home (hiking, lake, state park). The owner let us know a day prior to arriving that the indoor fireplace was unavailable for use, due to new insurance regulations, so that was a bummer, but we understood. We would definitely go back-great place!
Check in was seamless and home was perfect layout for our large family. We appreciated the different rooms where adults and kids could gather. House is open with lots of seating.
Our stay here was wonderful!! All sections of the house were clean, spacious, and well managed. Great Mountain View. Absolutely loved the theater room!!Mark (host) very attentive. The extra snacks were a big hit!! Thank You!!
This beautiful house was in a perfect location for easy access to local restaurants on the river, hikes, boating or just having a game day with a fantastic view.
The home is on a spacious property with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. We played lawn games in the late afternoon as the toddlers had space to run around. The bedrooms were spacious, allowing for pick and play cribs.
House was perfect for a large family gathering. We went for a family wedding. There was plenty of room for different family members. Property is in process of renovations, but very nice. Space was clean and comfortable. We loved the theater room and all the deer that visit in the backyard. The road to house was the only thing that was a little tricky!
The house was very spacious with several eating areas and an entertainment room. The patio was large with plenty of seating, a grill and a fire pit. The view of the mountains was amazing. The host was very responsive when we contacted him and there was excellent communication with him via text messages and phone calls. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay with all of our family. Enjoyed the many games there as well as a piano. Very comfortable home with ample kitchen appliances and dishes and cooking items. I highly recommend this home for a relaxing vacation.
Home was great and plenty of room. Home theater area was wonderful and due to the weather came in handy. Plently of games and puzzles great thing to do for all ages. Location was okay the roads to the house were a surprise being one car only. Some locals who really know the road were not very watchful. But we enjoyed our visit and was very happy with our choice.
The property is immaculately cared for. The view is stunning. I caught myself looking out at the mountains the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night. The kitchen is a chefs dream. There is literally everything you need. My family was able to come together and rejoice in comfort. I am planning on booking as often as I can.
Spacious house with lots of amenities and beautiful views. Parts of the house are a little dated (especially the bathrooms) but it is clean and well kept. The roads around the house can be small and a little tricky but still manageable even for a minivan. Originally we were going to have four families staying but half of our group had to cancel - it would have been a tight fit if everyone came, probably best with just three groups. We enjoyed our stay and would book again!
Cool house in a beautiful and scenic area. The owners have put a lot of work into renovating this property and overall it's beautiful. They still have some work to do on the sliding doors, patio, and pool, but this didn't detract from our stay. Great living room and theater room with plenty of seating for large family's. Great outdoor space. Lots of nature and neat places to visit and the locals are very friendly. We had a few issues with the power going out due to storms and high winds, but the owners were great and reported it right away and the power was only out a few hours. Beautiful home in the West Virginia Mountains.
