Fabulous traditional townhouse with roof terrace
Beautifully renovated townhouse in lovely white village with large terrace only 18 km from the coast and on the edge of the natural park.
This beautifully renovated townhouse in the middle of the lovely white village of Competa is a real gem. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open kitchen/dining/living area and a large terrace overlooking the village this is a perfect holiday home to experience Spanish village life at it's best.
On the entrance level you enter the house into a hall and continue into the open space kitchen and dining and living room with SatTV. The kitchen is fully fitted. There is free Wifi in the house. On this level there are 2 bedrooms, one with attached bathroom and a separate bathroom with washing machine.
A staircase brings you down to the lower level where there is one more large bedroom with attached bathroom. This room has a separate entrance from the street.
From the living room there is a staircase up to a small reading room and through large windows the spacious terrace overlooking the village.
Competa is only 18 km from the coast and on the edge of the natural park where there is ample opportunity for hiking and mountain biking. The village has lots of cosy restaurants and tapas bars, art walks and music event almost weekly.
There is a large glass covered municipal swimming pool and in summer a hotel in town opens their large pool and garden area for visitors for a small fee.

This was a lovely house in the beautiful town of Cómpeta. It’s an old property in a traditional style which has been very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. We stayed as a couple for a month on a working break and had two other couples staying for a week’s holiday. The house was perfect for 6 friends with 3 good bedrooms and bathrooms and a lovely roof terrace with terrific views as well as a well equipped kitchen. All the amenities of the town within walking distance although it is steep so you need to be aware if you have mobility issues. We felt like we left a lot fitter than we arrived. The beds are super comfortable and we slept really well. No air con but fans in every room and great shading on the terrace so it never felt too hot. WiFi worked really well which was important for work. Martine is a non intrusive but helpful host with lots of good info about what’s happening. We had a fantastic time.
Great for family getaways and small groups of friends, the place was clean, spacious and overall a great place to stay. I recommend it 100% the lady Martine is lovely and we couldn’t have had a better choice of place or better customer service from the owners! :)
We stayed here for a month and it's a lovely traditional Andalusian house, couldn't have asked for more. Very good WI-FI, I was also working remotely and this was one important criteria. The check in would have been smoother but we didn't realize in the beginning that there are 2 entrances in the house. In the photos there was just one of them and you need to get the key from the other entrance signaled with Casa M on the door. The access to the house is quite steep but so are all, the town itself is on a hill so lots of climbing up and down :) The house space is generous, 3 floors with a large terrace on the top floor overlooking the town. Overall, we really felt like home, it was beautifully decorated in the traditional style while providing all amenities you would have in your own home. Also very close to the town center (10 min walk) where you can find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, ATMs etc. 30 min drive to the seaside on a very curvy road, you'll be testing your driving skills.
Having given the property a 5-star rating says it all! The apartment was well appointed and as advertised. It was well located with plenty of windows to get the breezes on hot days and had a lovely terrace besides, to watch the spectacular sunsets. Supermarkets and the tourism information centre were within easy walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at restaurants and bars and their friendly service. Excellent information was available on longer and shorter walks in the mountains, and our host Martine was immediately responsive when we had any queries of any kind. Her attention to our needs could not have been better.

Fantastic property
What an amazing property. It has been renovated to an exceptional high standard, so many nice detailing touches. Everything was wonderfully clean and you'll find it has everything you wil need for a great stay. Whilst there is parking right outside of the property, it seemed to be used by the local residents, who I have to say are very friendly, having said that the on street parking is literally seconds away. You get the sun on th roof terrace till late in the day, which makes for a nice cool place to have breakfast. I think that this a great all year round property.
