Are you looking for a quiet, peaceful, secluded place to get away from it all for a few days? THIS IS IT!

Three bedroom, two bath, fully furnished country hideaway overlooking a small lake.

Three burner gas grill with utensils. No charge for propane. Grilling area is well lit for night-time use.

Fishing available and basic fishing gear provided, but bring your own stuff if you like. No license required, live bait available nearby. We have a 10 ft. rowboat with oars, two pedal boats and two kayaks available. Life jackets provided free of charge.

Swimming is permitted, but there are no lifeguards on duty. Life jackets provided free of charge. There is a Life Ring Buoy on the dock

FIRE RING WITH FREE FIREWOOD and roasting sticks available.

There is a Blink video doorbell installed on the front door and two outside Wi-Fi cameras, one on the north end of the house, and one on the south end of the house. Both cameras are in plain view. There are no other cameras or recording devices on the property.

House is equipped with "Smart" thermostat, smart wall plugs and smart front porch light. The thermostat is set for optimum efficiency and guest comfort.

House is wired for portable generator which is on-site and can be operational within an hour, (probably sooner)

Please review our welcome guide and house rules before your arrival. Please note that we require the names and ages of all the guests in your party to be listed in the reservation, and you, as the renter, must be one of the guests and stay at our Lake House.

The County Commissioners have established a .03% "Bed Tax" for all rental properties in the county. The amount for your stay will be included in correspondence sent to you immediately after booking and again in the check-in instructions message sent approximately 2 days before your arrival.

We recommend 4 WD or AWD. The driveway is steep with a limestone surface. You can make it without 4 WD, you'll just have to get a run at it when you come out. If there is snow or ice conditions, 4 WD or AWD will be required.

This hose was amazing. It was exactly what we were looking for. Very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the pond and sitting outside the most. The hosts were easy to teach if you needed them we are very grateful for them letting us stay there.

Peaceful paradise

We really needed a break and a chance to unwind and Roger n Mary's place was the perfect place for it. We hiked, swam in the lake, watched the humming birds on the porch and got a good night's sleep every night. The house is lovely and accommodating and Roger n Mary are great hosts, making sure everything is right.

Perfect place

We absolutely loved staying at this house. It had everything we needed and then some. The hosts were more than accommodating and welcoming. The lake was beautiful and you could see so many stars at night due to no/very little light polution.

Hunting HQ

We stayed here so that we could be close to our hunting land. This house was perfect and the hosts were awesome. We will definately try to get this house for next year's hunting season.

Best vrbo ever!

My family just returned from an 8 night stay at this delightful home. Everything was phenomenal from the hosts being the kindest and most thoughtful possible, the home being most inviting and the location exactly as described. Entire description is spot on!! Hope to return someday as this is my husband's hometown with plenty of family still there.

Peaceful solitude

Needing a place to decompress and rejuvenate, this is the place. Communication from the owners is thorough and helpful. House is comfortable and quiet. Amenities are all the basics you need. It’s becoming my go-to option when I need time away from stress and just want to relax. Highly recommend!!!! Check it out.

Second Year as Perfect as the First!

Our first year, we just went as a couple and knew that this was the only vacation spot for us from now on! This year, we brought friends and family. Next year, we plan on 2 trips and more family members joining us! This is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and get away from it all!

Amazing property

Absolutely perfect- host and hostess are terrific and the property has so many extras! The lake is the cleanest I have ever seen in SE Ohio- refreshing and wonderful! Lots of boats/floats for the kids swimming or fishing. I cannot recommend enough! We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check-in process was seamless and the hosts were very responsive to all messages and questions. The home was comfortable and set up to make you feel at home. Peaceful Getaway

This place was one of the best places we ever stayed at. So quiet and the wildlife was amazing. Birds of all kinds, deer, turkey, bullfrogs and turtles also. The lake was fun and the hiking trails were just enough for a bit of exercise. We stayed for 3 nights and never left the property. Hated to leave. Roger and Mary joined us around the campfire as my friend played acoustic guitar. Great owners!! Only suggestion we had was maybe some hooks on the wall in the main bedroom to hang some clothes.

Relaxing retreat!

This lovely lake home lives up to the listing. The impeccable landscaped grounds are so inviting. The lake in the evening with the solar lights makes you want to sit on the porch all night. Mary and Roger had the home decorated for the 4th, including festive paper products in the kitchen. The home is well stocked and very clean. We will recommend this home to friends. One note. If planning to arrive on a motorcycle the driveway is steep and a bit intimidating but manageable. Thank you Roger and Mary

It was more than I expected, It was such a beautiful place to stay and relax. We love it we enjoyed fishing, resting on the great porch watching the beautiful lake. The owner stocked the house with so many things that you don't need to bring anything except food. We plan to come back next year.

Great week of relaxation!

Spend a whole week here and hardly left the property. This house has everything you need from toys for the kids, fishing gear, tubes & water toys, bug spray (which I never really needed b/c I saw no mosquitoes and if they are around they will find me! Lol), lots of household goods, plenty of tp & paper towels, laundry soap, etc. All the pots and pans and kitchen utensils including an airfry, 2 types of coffee pots & coffee and tea. We cooked there all week and the only thing that you might want to bring are some spices otherwise just bring food, clothes and a toothbrush. Then sit back and relax on the front porch swing, my favorite place! Thanks again Roger & Mary for sharing your beautiful property, you truly have thought of everything!

Truly amazing. It is hard enough to find a handicap accessible stay but to find one with a pond right out your door is a blessing.My husband continues to tell everyone about the13.5lb catfish. In this case the fish story is true.

Nice

House was clean and loaded with amenities. Lake was clean, great for fishing and swimming. Trails behind the house were loaded with pollinators and butterflies. My 7 year old son is a nature nut, and loved every bit of it. It was a great six nights that we spent, would do it again.

Motor Cycle Trip

This was a great place to stay. More amenities than any other place I have been to. The only negative about the property is getting hit with an additional county tax that is not made apparent until after you book and pay. It was a small amount so it’s not a big deal but it should be included And mentioned upfront.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

Roger and Mary were very accommodating and great hosts. The Lake House is cute yet roomy and the lakeside setting is beautiful. They've included everything you could ever need. We highly recommend the Lake House when your travels bring you to southern Ohio.
