Lots of natural light in this newly renovated duplex on a quiet street in the heart of Clintonville. Minutes from Riverside Hospital, downtown Columbus and Ohio State University and The James Cancer Clinic. 3 bedrooms can comfortably sleep 6 adults. A short walk to coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, boutiques and a Saturday morning farmer's market!

Downstairs you’ll have access to your own private entrance, screened in front porch with patio furntire, a living and dining room, half bath and fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a full bath. For families with young children we offer a pack-n-play or crib option, baby monitor, baby bath and accessories and sound machine.

The front door is just inside the screened-in porch, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a complimentary washer and dryer in the basement. You are also welcome to enjoy the backyard and patio's gas grill and fire pit. The backyard and patio are a shared space my family also uses, if you wish to have a private evening under our outdoor lights just let me know and I will happily accommodate you.

You will have a completely private stay with 2 separate entrances to choose from. We live on the other side of the duplex, I have a high value in your privacy—a key pad will get you into the house. I am absolutely available to answer any questions or concerns that may arise during your stay.

Enjoy complimentary drinks, snacks, WIFI, local TV and movies on Netflix and Amazon. For those looking to unplug--please enjoy the books and board games.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

Lovely old home in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. Street parking was always available. Host was responsive to our needs. The home is decorated really nicely and was very clean. I enjoyed sitting and reading on the screened in front porch.

Perfect for our family

We love this place. We have stayed here twice-both times for our kids’ OSU Commencement weekends. It is clean and warm and cozy and has everything we need to relax and celebrate. The host is responsive and super friendly. Highly recommend!

Neighbourhood gem

A beautiful old house, very clean, comfortable and the location was superb! Glad to have the hand rails on the stairs to the 2nd floor. Grab bars in the shower are recommended as two of our group had mobility issues.

Clean Home in Nice Neighborhood

This clean home is in a pleasant neighborhood that is within walking distance of places to eat and shop. We even walked the 2.5 miles to OSU, which avoided all busy roads. The home is nicely decorated and very clean! The owner is immensely kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family stay

The property was perfect for our little family and the host was more than accommodating. They had a crib set up for our 1 year old, and had everything we needed: a high chair, baby bath, toys, sippy cups and silverware, sound machines, night lights, blackout blinds. We were even able to do a load of laundry. The host was very responsive and kind. Thank you for a great stay!

Great home

Rachael and her property were great. She is very easy to communicate with and accommodating on our last minute changing needs. Her home is very clean and has all the little things you always forget to pack. Yard is perfect to sit outside and your privacy is maintained. I would highly recommend this property.

Great place for a family reunion.

Rachel and her family were extremely gracious hosts. Though their home is the other side of the duplex, they made us feel like we had the house, front porch and back yard to ourselves. Walking distance to grocery store. Great local neighborhood walks. Perfect driving location to everything we needed including only 20 minutes from the airport. Kerrigan and coffee pot, snacks, comfortable beds.

Charming Duplex - Charming Neighborhood

What a great spot. We were in town for a Buckeye game, and this home was located just north of campus is a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Rachael was a very generous host and was flexible with our check-in and checkout times based on our travel. The house had its original charm and just the right updates for everyone to be comfortable. We good breakfast each morning, a grocery store within a few blocks and kitchen basics provided. We would definitely love to stay here for future trips back to cheer on the buckeyes.

Excellent location, better host

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 under two stayed here comfortably for 7 nights. First off, if you’re traveling with little ones this is the place for you. The location of this house is close to everything you could want in the Columbus area, also walking distance to a playground. Our host Rachael was so accommodating, offering important items that are crucial to traveling with small children but nearly impossible to bring on a plane. She had high chairs, baby gates, and a crib which made our stay even better. We did have a small issue which was resolved promptly and effectively. Highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Columbus area.

Football weekend with the brothers

Arrived mid-week ahead of the football weekend action. Big games to watch on t.v. Hosts had a nice place, very comfortable, good television reception, all the amenities one would expect. Bathrooms were either too small or we are too big. Guess which.

Home Away From Home in Perfect Columbus Location

My favorite rental by far! I rented this place for a sisters weekend in Columbus and couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations and location. Rachel stated that she wanted to provide a place that felt like a home away from home and SHE NAILED IT! All the comforts of home are provided along with some sweet extras for you to relax and enjoy your time there. It is very spacious, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The guideline book and extras offered made it feel more welcoming than most rentals I have stayed in. It is definitely a kick back and relax place. Centrally located to all of Columbus, we traveled to downtown, German Village, Powell, the Short North, and Grandview Heights easily. Located on a quiet street that is in a safe area to walk if you desire, I highly recommend Rachel’s place!
