We had some problems with our first room and were moved to another which also had an issue but were very pleasantly surprised by the customer service from the hotel staff who always helped us quickly. An overall good experience even given some hiccups, all due to the staff.

This was my second visit to Starkville and the first to Holiday Inn. I was pleasantly surprised considering the age of the property and the less than stellar reviews. The room was decently sized and clean. Breakfast was continental with the typical options of eggs, fruit, sausage etc. All staff I encountered were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Stay here for our visit at MSU. The location was perfect for getting to MSU and sort of in the middle of town. We were able to explore Starkville easily and the staff was very helpful with advice and suggestions! Very clean and plenty of parking, couldn’t ask for more!

The room, the grounds, the pool, etc was spacious and always clean. The staff was professional, friendly, always busy keeping the facility clean and ensuring the guests were taken care of and any needs were met. Especially Yolanda, I called her before our stay she was very helpful and provided the information I requested. I also noticed after checking in and during my stay that she and other employees were extremely cross trained in all areas of keeping everything in order. They all make a great team. Also, the 24 hour coffee and the breakfast bar were outstanding/ above expectations. If I return to the area in the future, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

We had three people in our room. King bed with sofa bed and kitchen. Three people were on the reservation. We had to ask multiple times for towels. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed. There were crumbs in the sofa bed when we unfolded it. The staff did immediately provide towels and bedding every time we asked. The room was showing wear and tear. The breakfast was good and the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon was a nice touch.

Holiday inn express consistently delivers on comfort, friendly staff and cleanliness. The only thing they always have issues with is pancake maker. I know it's trivial, but every HIE I've stayed at has had an issue with it, just funny.
