3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home in the heart of the Short North, one of Columbus' most vibrant neighborhoods. Steps away from High Street, where you will find everything from restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, yoga studios, breweries, art galleries, and so much more. Free off-street private parking for 3 cars.

The Space

Colorful decor, coupled with comfortable furnishings, creates a unique feel in this 1920 two-story home. Ceiling fans, central air/heat, Samsung Frame TV, and high-speed WiFi are just a few things you will enjoy during your stay.

Bedroom #1 features a King upholstered bed with memory foam mattress and reclaimed wood accent wall. A small ensuite bathroom w/simple stall shower, sink and toilet is attached.

Bedroom #2 has a Queen Serta bed, vaulted ceiling and a ceiling fan.

Bedroom #3 has two twin pillow top beds and a reading nook with large chaise lounge (about the size of a toddler bed). A double high Queen air mattress is also available to sleep guests #7 and #8 if needed.

Please note: All bedrooms and full bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the home. There is a small half bathroom located on the first floor.

Kitchen is equipped with major appliances, pots and pans, dishes and utensils, and a Keurig coffee maker. Keurig K-cups for the coffee maker are provided. Maytag front-loading washer/dryer are located off of the kitchen for your convenience.

Dining room is furnished with Crate & Barrel table and vintage chairs, which comfortably accommodates 6 but can seat up to 8. Living room has Samsung Frame TV and is furnished with extra deep couches that are perfect for lounging at home. The first floor half bath is located under stairs in the dining room.

3 free off-street parking spots located directly behind our private backyard area are available for guests to use during their stay. The backyard space is fenced in with a newly replaced 6-foot privacy fence, and includes a pergola lounge area, a dining patio, gas grill and fire pit. Perfect gathering space for enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail at night!

Getting Around

Our home is in the most walkable neighborhood of Columbus, so it's easy to get practically everywhere by foot. Uber, COTA bike rentals and public bus are also available.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

Convenient location to OSU and downtown. Nice and clean interior, outside had some trash but may have blown over from neighbors. Sofa and beddings were comfortable. Everything was as described, highly recommended and would come back again.

Great place

Neat, old home, close to everything. We walked to the convention center in about 20 minutes. If you like night life, there are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Near and clean!

Cute and clean

We stayed here for an OSU football game. It was super cute and very clean, plenty of space for 2 couples and 3 kids, great location, very quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Sweet Stay in Short North!

This home was perfect for family of 5 with 3 adult children! Close to everything on High St., easy parking, plenty of space and equipment for cooking and dining and a nice outdoor space in the backyard. And quite quiet despite location near busy arts and entertainment area. Hope we will get to stay here again!

Good location; responsive hosts

The house was comfortable with easy access, including off street parking. A great coffee house and High Street within easy walking distance. A few essentials were missing when we arrived, eg toilet paper for all the bathrooms, kitchen sponge etc, but the hosts promptly suppled the necessaries.

Perfect location

This is our third time booking this sweet house. It's perfectly located to easily access OSU, downtown, and the interstate for other destinations. The neighborhood is walkable and close to grocery, restaurants, and bars. Private parking is wonderful, and public transportation is easy to access if you don't have your own vehicle. We'll be back next time we're in Columbus!

The location of this home was perfect for walking to campus for the game, fun and food in the short north and fourth street! Could get a little bit loud from street noise at night. Hosts were very responsive. House and yard as described. Would stay again

This family-friendly house was in a great location for exploring Columbus! Within walking distance of MANY great places to eat, drink and shop. Short drive away from parks and major attractions. Host was very responsive and included helpful information. Our kids didn't want to leave and we would definitely book again! House had lots to offer and it was obvious that every effort was made to ensure a wonderful stay.

Friends concert weekend

Perfect rental for our 3 couples looking for somewhere to stay for a big concert weekend. We spent most of our time while we were here enjoying the common spaces as a group including the awesome backyard. This was a very nice experience all around and I will look to rent this property again when visiting Columbus.

Great weekend stay in Columbus

We had a wonderful long weekend at Catherine and Bryan’s home in the Short North this past weekend. Their home is clean, comfortable and well stocked. The location of the house was perfect and it was easy to park right behind the house. We felt right at home with a comfortable living room including games, and cozy spaces to relax and enjoy time together. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

Our Favorite Place

Third time here, already looking to book again. We love coming to Columbus. This house is in the best location, with parking and the hosts are the most! The house is older with aged charm, but very comfortable with modern amenities. We walk practically everywhere but even our other interest, such as Franklin Park or the Art Museum are just a quick car ride. Not an issue, because we have our reserved parking right at the house. Thanks again Cathrine & Bryan! We will be talking soon.

The house is great! In a great location, walking distance from good restaurants. Safe and quiet! The host is amazing. She quickly answered any questions we had and when we had a small issue, she was there to get it remedied. We will definitely be back!
