I did not like pulling up and seeing someone from housekeeping dumping a mop bucket in the parking lot with mop in hand. The worker at the desk was not helpful at all. When I asked if I could at least to a view of the room he refused unless I agreed to check in first. The hotel was far from what was expected. The pictures on the internet were very misleading.

Terrible, outdate and low quality furnishings. Lighting is old and dated. It is spacious. Don't like how the bathroom is arranged. Turn on the light to the bathroom and get this extremely loud fan. It was Terrible!

The grounds were overgrown. The room was quiet but not very clean. There were dead and live bugs in the floor and shower as well as hair. I felt unsafe.

Property was poorly maintained the check in area was dirty, smelled bad and not well kept. The hotel outside areas were also poorly maintained and not well kept. Our room smelled so bad of cigarettes that we opted not to stay the night. We asked for a different room or a credit to stay at another day s inn and were simply told “there was nothing they can do”. I would not recommend the Starkville Days Inn to anyone and will not stay at the brand in the future because of this experience. We lost our money but were able to get a room at the Hilton Garden Inn in Starkville and it was clean very nice and the staff was much more accommodating.

I took a gamble on a room at this property because I needed something last minute. We arrived for check in and the lobby should have been an immediate flag. It smelled horrible, like mildew, and damp! But I still checked in. In the parking lot surround the rooms, there were cars parked out full of teenagers and young adults on the tailgates drinking, hollering, some had shirts off.. obviously a party. The rooms were TERRIBLE. We did not even put our things down in the room. Roaches were visibly running around and it looked like the room had not even been cleaned. I was livid- it was beyond unacceptable. We turned straight out and I went back to the lobby and immediately told the clerk I wanted to check out. The conditions were too bad to even set our things down. He immediately because defensive and instead of offering any type of mediation, he just said “you cannot get a refund for the room.” Like a robot that’s said it 100 times. I had not even checked in 10 minutes prior. So they got to keep our money… and we had to leave. I would NOT take a chance on this place. I am not one to leave a review, but if I can save someone else time and hard earned money—- I tell you to decline on any offers from this location!! The conditions are just absolutely disgusting.
