We had a perfect stay! The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for Fort Jackson Family Day and graduation. Communication with the owner was easy and smooth from start to finish—and she truly went above and beyond by mailing back a sentimental item we accidentally left behind. So kind and thoughtful! Highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the area.

Very nice and enjoyable stay. Everything was as pictured. Quiet neighborhood close to many grocery stores, shops and gas stations. Very close proximity to Fort Jackson. Highly recommend this property!!

Perfect Easter Weekend

Great place to stay

We needed a place for our family of four to stay for the weekend. The house was very clean and well stocked. Check in was super easy and the location was nice. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and family friendly. Literally woke up Saturday to see the neighbors out teaching their kids how to ride a bike. Also conveniently located. A little over ten minutes to the downtown area of Columbia.

Home Away From Home

This home was very cozy and located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. It was just minutes away from Fort Jackson. We enjoyed the comfortness of this beautiful home while being away from our home for 3 days. One of the best VRBO’s we’ve stayed in.

Great Stay!

This was our first time staying in Columbia to drop our son off at USC. Selma was absolutely fantastic and was extremely responsive! The home is exactly as seen in the photos! Super clean, updated through out, comfortable, great location and distance from USC….. we will for sure recommend and we hope to be back!

Well thought out home away from home

This house is close to all of the USC action. The interior and components have been well thought out by Selma. You can tell this host knows a thing or two. Instructions were very clear, great to-do suggestions, and added touches of comfort (toothpaste, brushes, shower products). We will certainly look at this place again for our next visit to Columbia

The home is very nice in a desirable quiet neighborhood Beds were comfortable. The home is predominantly used for short stays for Fort Jackson graduation and folks visiting their kids at USC. The TV setup didn’t meet our expectations, no cable or streaming service unless you have an account to use. Also the kitchen needs some upgrades to utensils , plates bowls as several had chips and cracks Over all it’s a nice home but better for short stays in my opinion

Cozy and Quiet

This house was cozy and in a quiet neighborhood! We were in SC for my son’s basic training graduation and this was the perfect house. We were minutes from base and town. The house was beautiful, it smelled good and spacious enough for all of us. Our host went above and beyond for us, (even had snacks for us). We have stayed at a lot of other properties but this once was our favorite! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling to Columbia!

We stayed in Columbia to go our son's graduation from basic training. Selma communicated with us to make sure everything was satisfactory and to our liking. It's a beautiful place with comfortable couches and beds, which is a big deal to us, and everything you would need. Very close to Ft Jackson, which was so nice. The perfect home for our trip.

We came to Columbia to see our son graduate from BCT at Ft. Jackson. This home was everything it promised and more. Home was very clean. Very quiet and convenient location. Checking in and out- easy. We did need to contact our host once during our stay to reset the WiFi- but that was it. She returned my text within minutes and walked me thru the process. Everything we needed was provided for us from kcups to laundry soap (which I had no intention of using , but surprise- our solider got a day pass and needed fresh uniforms to report to the next base in). The home was so cozy and welcoming. Furnishings and linens are plush. I felt like I was staying in a friend’s home; there are just little extras in every room. Well organized. Thank you Ms. Selma for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and providing such wonderful accommodations for families like mine. It was so nice to visit with our son and he was able to truly relax for the short time he got away. As we navigate this new way of life- if we come back to Ft Jackson for any reason- we will be looking to stay with you again.

Fort Jackson Graduation October 2023

Just my wife and I stayed to attend my son's Family Day and Graduation from boot camp training,(BCT). The house met our needs. This trip was all about our son so we didn't really spend a lot of time at the house. Clean home, smells good, Samsung washer/dryer. We wish the master BR was at least a queen size bed and not a full size. Selma communicated at all times by email and text (which I prefer) so that helped. The residential neighborhood it sits in is quiet, well kept, and perfectly family oriented. We commented how we could see ourselves living in a neighborhood like this one. We felt safe staying here. There are many good restaurants close by within a short driving distance (Backstreets Grill, Tazza Kitchen, Eggs Up Grill, Village Idiot Pizza). There were other ones we didn't have time to try. We had no time to cook at the house. The Keurig coffee maker was much appreciated!! It was well stocked. We're big on morning coffee ☕☕. Recommendations for the VRBO owner: hand soap in all 3 bathrooms with a refill bottle, a 4-8 pack of toilet paper in inventory, facial tissue in at least all 3 bathrooms, and a set of serrated steak knives. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review overall!
