"We were a group of seven friends who came together from several different places to celebrate a birthday weekend and attend a concert at McMenamin’s Edgefield. The home is lovely and clean, with plenty of spaces to gather both inside and out. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs, with a bathroom on each floor, which worked well for our group.One unexpected feature was the collection of bones, a pelt, and saws displayed throughout the home. They certainly give the space a distinctive character, though they may not appeal to everyone’s tastes. We even had a vegetarian in our group who found the displays a little surprising! That said, the home itself was comfortable, clean, and a pleasant place to spend the weekend."

"The home is an interesting find & was very cool to explore and experience. However, it was a bit unsettling. The floors had a bit of tracking throughout the kitchen and dining area, we did find a broom. There was a lot of drinks and food in the fridge & pantry. One of the beds hadn’t been made at all, the sheets were just in a pile on top of it. There was a full basket of what looked like dirty laundry right next to the backdoor. Host mentioned being available for our stay but we didn’t end up hearing from them about the sheets on the bed being clean or not until the following evening.. There was also a bit of a mix up in text messages received after our departure.Despite the cleanliness and communication, the home was enjoyable for my family. If you want artifacts and antique knickknacks to explore and enjoy this house definitely has a ton."

"The House was AWESOME! My family enjoyed the activities in the garage, spacious rooms, large kitchen and large backyard for our dog. ONLY thing we all didn’t like was the STEEP stairs! We had to make sure we went down slowly and hold on to the railing. BUT we ALL agreed that we would DEFINITELY stay here again! The location of house was close to everything and well worth the price! Will Book again when we visit Oregon!"

"The property was super clean and comfortable. It worked well for our family of 4, including 2 adult children. We enjoyed the space (great table to have an ongoing puzzle at one end!) and enough couches and chairs for all to relax. We loved the location with the view of the cute town and ease to visit the gorge highlights and hikes!"
