Newly Renovated “Cedar Ridge Farm" - a 250 yr old farm on 150 acres

Welcome to Cedar Ridge Farm, our 250-year-old farmhouse on 150 acres in Pierrepont, NY. We are conveniently located 9.5 miles from Canton, home to St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton; and 8.5 miles from Potsdam, home to Clarkson University, and SUNY Potsdam / Crane School of Music. We are SO excited about the complete remodel of the kitchen /laundry room/bathroom & livingroom with all new appliances and custom cabinets. The updates are phenomenal but maintain the old farm character.
"The Farm" is truly a place for all seasons. In the spring and summer, hike the miles of trails right on the property. We are also just a 15 minute drive from the "blue line" of the Adirondack Park, where hiking trails and waterways are limitless. Visit nearby Postwood Park for a little beach time on the Raquette River, hike along the Stone Valley Nature Trails or navigate one of the other many nearby rivers and lakes by kayak or canoe.
In the fall, duck hunters can set their sights on the Upper & Lower Lakes Wildlife Management Area. We have a dog kennel and plenty of space to dry your waders.
If you visit us when the snow is flying, just walk out the door to go snowshoeing or to take the kids sledding. Bring your snowmobiles to access some of the best riding in the US!
Looking for a day trip destination? Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are 75 miles to the southeast and offers world class skiing, bobsled rides, ice skating and fabulous lake and hiking terrain. Bring your passport, Ottawa Ontario Canada - a spectacular city- is just 83 miles to the northwest. Skate on the frozen canals, attend the Tulip Festival, shop or visit museums, and don't forget to visit a Crepery or delicious Patisserie!
For anyone who has to mix some business with pleasure, the farm has WIFI and an office complete with a printer.
Whether you are traveling to town for a hockey tournament, to look at colleges, or just wanting to spend some time in the outdoors, you will certainly fall in love with the beauty of the area and all it has to offer.

A wonderful quiet and comfortable house

Our stay was wonderful and we will certainly be returning. The property details are spot on. The house is well appointed and charming. It is in a very quiet and picturesque area and a short drive away from Canton if that's why you are in the area (as we were). You will not be disappointed.

SLU family getaway

Cedar Ridge allowed for us to gather as a family while visiting SLU to see our nephew play hockey there. Has all amenities— is a bit of a ride into town but we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Thank you.

Family Trip to visit daughter at St Lawrence Univ.

We had an awesome time! The house was super convenient to SLU and it was clean & spacious! We especially loved that our dogs could join us! They enjoyed walking the amazing trails right on the property as much as we did!! So beautiful!!

Fabulous time

We had a fabulous time enjoying the back yard and home to see the full eclipse as well as play board games and cook meals together. The place was clean, and had everything we needed and then some!

Enjoyable and relaxing

The property was beautiful and idyllic. We enjoyed hiking on the trails through the forest, playing in the creek and building a fire. The house was comfortable, clean and tidy and had all the amenities that we needed. The front porch provided us with a nice place to unwind and relax. We really enjoyed our stay. Tammy, the hostess, was very responsive and helpful.

Fun family time in the country

A lovely old farm house with modern amenities. Our family from NYS, VA and SC don’t often get together because of everyone’s busy schedule so our time at Cedar Ridge Farm was just what we needed! The weather was perfect so a lot of time was spent outdoors playing games or sitting on the lovely porch enjoying each others company. We would recommend this home as a perfect get away

Perfect getaway property!

I stayed here for a week and a half with just my dog (although there is ample room for plenty more) to reset before starting a stressful new job. The property and house are beautiful, and I spent many peaceful mornings reading on the porch. This property very much feels like a beloved home (because it is) rather than a generic rental property. There is so much hiking and kayaking available nearby, and I hardly saw anyone else on the trails. Additionally, Tammie was very communicative and responsive, checking in on me when a bad storm rolled through. Can’t recommend highly enough as a destination for a relaxing getaway!

Great house with lots of room

We had a great time staying here with our kids and dogs while visiting our son at St. Lawrence. Plenty of room for all of us. We made some great meals in the kitchen, We enjoyed walking around the property.
