  • Cascate del Diborrato - Parco fluviale dell'Elsa Inside the residential area of Colle Val d'Elsa is a historic and natural landscape of enormous value thanks to the Elsa River which crosses the Val d'Elsa creating a unique territory. The river creates enchanting corners for hiking and observing: the engineering works for gathering water, the artifical canal system for carrying the water to the city, the caves. A particularly suggestive point is the Diborrato water falls, a 15m jump which is more than 10m deep, a sort of small lake where the locals used to go to cool off. Best situation and place.

The property overlooks the square and lots of buses go from there. We had no car and used the bus to go to Sienna, Florence, San Gimingnano and Volterre. You can walk to a trail along the river in the National Reserve in minutes and it is beautiful. Food shops, cafes and restaurants all nearby. The property was quiet and perfect and our hosts could not have been more helpful. We loved Colle.

The best of everything

The location was perfect- near to everything- Old Colle, the bus and lots of restaurants and cafes. The hosts were kind, available and very helpful to us in planning our time in Colle. We couldn't have asked for more- a wonderful experience and we would definitely return!!
