"Lovely old hotel with a great view of the loch. Shower is over three bath which could be tricky for some. Bed was comfortable, good sized room. Breakfast was top notch with unlimited tea & coffee & good selection of hot & cold dishes. Highly recommended"
"Really lovely staff, making me feel at home when travelling on my own! The carpets and fittings are showing their age in places, but all very clean and comfy in the room. Nice view of the loch."
"Very cheap and cheerful. Basic but everything worked and it was clean. When I stayed it was very hot but the room was cool. It was also quiet in the room"
"One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade toasted granola. "
"Clean and nicely furnished room although basic amenities… only hand soap and a fixed bottle of shower/hair wash….. I expected a bit more…… Friendly staff. Location is good although if walking to/from town the front steps are a challenge not for the feint hearted! Stunning sea views. Breakfast was hot and plenty of choice. Overall I’d recommend."
"Lovely hotel. Amazing staff. Only downfall was the church bells that ring on the hour. Including overnight. Would stay again even with the chimes due to the amazing staff and homely feel of the hotel."
"Loved the friendly staff and the hotel setting is stunning. . The breakfast was nice and tasty. The hotel room was comfortable with a fabulous view of loch fine from the window. We were in the area for a wedding and it proved difficult trying to secure transport back to the hotel from Tarbert the nearest town due to there being only one taxi car. As the hotel is 4 star, a shuttle bus for guests maybe an idea moving forward."
