The property is located near the bus station and is easy to locate. The room is clean, bright and comfortable. Breakfast is included with good amount of food, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Staffs are also very friendly and helpful.

For the money, it was a great hotel. Clean room, easy walk to Old Town. There were tons of restaurants to choose from in the old town. Free Breakfast until Noon! Not a fancy place, but the bed, room, and AC were all excellent. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Most comfortable stay we had in Portugal thus far. I had been digital nomading all over Portugal for a couple weeks now. I had been in many hostels and motel. But this is the first time I had stayed in a hotel as comfortable as this. This has all American amenities one would expect in a hotel like shampoo, towels, air condition, good comfortable bedding, and spacious room. I cleaned well, I slept undisturbed for 10 hours for the first time in Portugal. Best place in Lisbon and Coimbra

Difficult and costly parking

Nice well located hotel with very nice and helpful staff. Room was pleasant. Unfortunately I had to pay €18 for the parking place. Not only that the ramp to the parking place was tight, narrow and steep. It was a challenge to drive down without hitting anything and even more of a challenge to drive up.

Great location huge room, gigantic bed, toilet was a bit old and outdated, the bath had that horrible shower curtain everyone hates. Definitely recommend

Stayed for 2 night with my family. The room was runned down but clean. We were out most of the time so it didn't bother us. The shower was working and that is all that matters. Close walk to groceries and the downtown Coimbra area.

I was there two nights. Very comfortable. I had a sudden drop in blood sugar in the night and the night clerk found me something to eat at 4 am. Very kind and alert!

Great staff, convenient

Nice hotel in convenient area for walking and proximity to train station. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit every morning and decent (if limited) options. Staff was very friendly and housekeeping was excellent. A few small things with condition of room, soap tray, TP holder, TV sound, but nothing earthshaking. Biggest issue for us was that it was difficult to find based on address given, but we finally muddled our way through. Would stay again.

We don’t bother

Staff could be better at making guests feel welcome. If there is 2 or more staff working at the reception then giving attention to an arriving guest is a good way to show care. We arrived at 2pm and met a not particularly welcoming lady that told was the room was not available. We stayed on the 4th floor. Smell in the hallway was not fresh. Towel holder in the room was broken. There is an atmosphere of neglect in this hotel.

Not the 4 stars I'm used to.

There was no AC and it was unsafe to leave the doors open. There was no way to get someone to repair it as it was the weekend. The toilet also broke during our stay and the shower had some mold. The location was good and staff was lovely, but we had to fight for some compensation in the form of access to the breakfast buffet (without paying 13 euros). I expected more given the price and the star-rating.

Old bathroom situation such as totally unprivate sound proof, there is no lock on the bathroom door, old tub which has very rounded corners on the bottom so it is very slippery with soap and dangerous, towel hangers not even so the towel can be slid down, small wall shelf above the sink is left broken so there is almost no flat surface to place any grooming items at all, shower curtain is extremely long hanging deep into the bath tub that is a little safety hazard to step on and the bottom of curtain corners are blackish with probably molds, and many corners of bathroom tiles have blackish mold appearance showing little vent ability of the bathroom. The closet is not so easy to use because of the location of the hanger bar which is too close to the closet ceiling so that the regular hangers have a little problem to hang. The room is not so user friendly to unless it is used by a single person or with only just close family member. The towels were worn out condition with some with tears. We stayed 3 people in a room. The room was spacious. Air conditioning generated clicking sound during operation stoplessly. No window opening ability so that we could not vent the room air. Maybe we got a worse room than others. The room appered to be the old apartment building renovated to be hotel but limited renovation. Coimbra is an old city, so this may be standard, not sure. We felt that BF was pricy for the quality of food.

Dated,worn down, parking difficult spaces to navigate. Breakfast needs someone who knows food and has an understanding of preparation. Rooms were generally clean and the staff were accommodating so much so that I regret a poor review. The best experience of the hotel was sharing with other patrons our wonder of the Stay.
