We were looking with our kids at their cows in the pasture, and the owner(?) came out and gave our kids food to feed the cows. It was a great start, and it only got better from there. "WOW, I absolutely loved my stay in this hotel! I travelled alone, but the whole staff made me feel so welcome and relaxed. The two daughters (around my age) were really helpful, regarding practical 'stuff'; and I really appreciated their enthusiasm and support regarding me climbing the Gran Paradiso summit! The breakfast is incredible! Luckily all the hours of walking evened it out calory wise ;). Hotel Herbetet is located in beautiful and very quiet Valnontey, ideal starting point for many...
