"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"The hotel islocated in an old abbey but the inside apartments are modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen and supplies are perfect for a simple meal and breakfast to save money if on a budget. The bathroom was spacious for European standards and the bed very comfortable. "

"We stayed for a night. The exterior looks a bit rundown but the apartments are great. Everything works, it’s well equipped and clean. There’s also an elevator which is a major plus. Daily continental breakfast for 11 euros - honestly it’s too expensive for what they serve. You have to bring down your trash upon check out and clean the kitchen if you used it. Overall a nice stay."

De schoonmaal liet erg te wensen over: afwasmachine was niet uitgeruims; de wasmachine zat nog vol met nat wasgoed - bizar. Als het regende lekte het dak, zodat de badkamervloer nat werd. En nog meer, maar ik stop er maar mee."

"Very comfortable with everything needed for a self catering holiday. Lots of outdoor space and we loved the pool. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and enjoyable days out. "We were given a warm friendly welcome from owner Nicolas who showed us around his lovely homely farmhouse. The house looked stunning in the warm Charentes sunshine and is set in magnificent gardens filled with flowers and a fascinating variety of trees including cherry, apple, fig, olive, chestnut etc, etc. The top of the garden has space for games and would be great for kids. Although the house could sleep 10 we were only 3, my husband and I and our adult daughter. Our daughter had the upstairs...

"Nous avons passé une semaine super. Je tiens à remercier une nouvelle fois Mme DA SILVA pour son accueil et sa gentillesse car elle a accepté nos deux chiennes. Le gîte est propre, lumineux et bien équipé. La piscine est partagée avec un deuxième gîte mais à chaque fois que nous y sommes allés, nous étions seuls. Toutes les commodités sont à proximité à pied ou en voiture. Prévoir juste de l'antimoustique pour le soir et la nuit si vous dormez les fenêtres ouvertes. Je recommande vivement !"

Sa situation est favorable en face d'une espace verte, dont une partie est aménagée comme parking pour l'école primaire et le collège de la commune. Le quartier résidentiel est très calme. Une boulangerie-pâtisserie et un restaurant sont situés à 50 mètres. Un Carrefour Express à 300 mètres. Nous avons apprécié l'aménagement de ce gîte de plein pied qui compte un séjour de 20 m² avec coin bureau et écran télé, une cuisine...

"We had a wonderful week in the gite. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We were looking for a relaxing week away to unwind and could not have picked a better place. The weather was warm enough for us to use the pool a few times which was clean and welcoming. We used the garden/patio area everyday which was also clean, tidy and comfortable. We will definitely look to stay here again."

"Loved the outside area, pool is lovely and welcome with the heat in our 2nd week (~38C). Eating outside, under the cover of the wisteria plant was also a pleasure to avoid the sun. House is nice, particularly eating and living areas although the kitchen could be equipped better (utensils, mugs etc), but we managed ok. The house is old, but is in keeping with the other buildings in the area. However there are elements of the house that would benefit from being updated, e.g shelving in bathrooms,...

"The hotel is located by the main shopping estate in the area, not exactly in Cognac but easy enough to drive into Cognac on one straight road. Wifi is not very well connected. I used it in the common dining area. Breakfast is fine. Parking is ample. Communal kettle by the entrance did not go down well for me. I have to fetch water from my room to fill the kettle and boil it in the public area. Not great value for money but is acceptable and adequate for a stopover."
