About this property

Sasquatch Lodge: Private Pool, Spa & Stargazing Dome

  • The Space:

Your latte is warm, the river stretches out beyond the deck, and the only decision on your agenda is where to begin. A swim in your private heated pool? A pickleball match before breakfast? Or a little more time enjoying the view before everyone else wakes up? At Sasquatch Lodge in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, your vacation starts with possibilities—and keeps getting better as you discover what’s waiting around the next corner.

You’re staying somewhere exceptional. Sasquatch Lodge is part of CDA Vacation Rentals’ Landmark Collection, the highest tier of our North Idaho vacation homes. Reserved for our most extraordinary properties, this select collection brings together remarkable settings, distinctive design, and experiences worth planning a trip around. Here, that means days spent between your private pool and pickleball court, evenings following illuminated trails to the spa, and one more discovery waiting in the Sasquatch Lair.

Bring up to 10 guests to this five-bedroom, four-bathroom North Idaho vacation home, where two acres of outdoor experiences meet an extraordinary collection of indoor entertainment. You have a private Modpool, barrel sauna, cold plunge, wood-fired soaking tub, stargazing dome, pickleball court, dedicated gym, arcade, your own throwback video store, and a hidden gaming lounge to discover. All this, with shopping and activities about 10 minutes away.

Step onto the back patio and slip into your private Modpool, built from a converted shipping container with its own deck, chairs, and pergola. Take the spiral staircase down or walk straight outside through the basement sliding doors. With optional heating up to 90°F for an additional $50 per day, you can trade the cool North Idaho air for warm water and enjoy having the pool entirely to yourselves.

When you’re ready to slow down, follow the illuminated trail to the Sasquatch Spa. Warm up in the barrel sauna, brave the cold plunge, and ease into the wood-fired soaking tub. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water completes the experience, while Sonos speakers let you bring your favorite playlist along. Give the soaking tub time to warm up, then settle in for the evening soak you’ve been looking forward to all day. Firewood for the tub is provided.

A little farther into your evening, make your way to the furnished geodesic stargazing dome. Get comfortable beside the wood-burning stove, listen to music through Sonos, and look up at the stars from your own cozy hideaway. Comfortable seating, lighting, and a sofa that converts to a bed make this a place to linger, especially on crisp fall evenings and snowy winter nights. Firewood for the stove is provided, so you can keep the evening going.

For a change of pace, grab the paddles and balls and head to your private regulation-size pickleball court. Learn the game, organize a family tournament, or demand a rematch when weather and court conditions allow. Beyond the court, illuminated walking trails connect your outdoor experiences. Explore the grounds, take in the river views, and watch for wildlife passing through. That rustle in the trees could be a deer, a moose, or perhaps Sasquatch himself.

As daylight fades, gather around the enormous custom firepit near the spa, crafted from a repurposed tractor track. A second firepit on the spacious front lawn gives you another setting for s’mores, stories, and a few well-earned pickleball bragging rights. Outdoor fires are subject to fire restrictions. If you’d like a stack of firewood for the large outdoor firepits, you can request one for $50.

Then step into the Sasquatch Lair and let the next round of competition begin. The garage has been transformed into a heated and air-conditioned entertainment space with an arcade, game room, movie collection, and dedicated gym. Chase high scores on Ms. Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat II, and Big Buck Hunter, challenge someone to ping pong or foosball, or gather around the Infiniti interactive digital board game table. With more than 50 board games, 100 puzzles, hundreds of books, Nerf guns, and comfortable couches, you may find everyone happily occupied for hours. Cornhole, badminton, croquet, and other outdoor games give you even more reasons to take the fun outside.

For movie night, walk into your own private, throwback Blockbuster video store and rediscover the fun of choosing something from an actual shelf. Browse more than 1,200 DVDs, find the movie you loved growing up, and introduce it to the next generation. Fire up the popcorn machine, claim your couch spot, and let Sonos theater sound in the media spaces turn the evening into an event. No late fees. No need to rewind. Just one more movie before bed.

There’s still another room to discover. Tucked into the attic above the Lair, your hidden media and gaming speakeasy has Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch systems, a DVD player, Sonos theater sound, beanbag chairs, and a pullout couch. Settle in for a gaming session or let the kids claim their favorite hangout. Adults have been known to enjoy the idea just as much. Check here before organizing a Sasquatch search party.

If your ideal morning includes a workout, head to your dedicated private gym. Build your session around the Inspire FT2 functional trainer, Pilates reformer, Peloton bike, Concept2 rowing machine, Lululemon Mirror workout screen, TRX equipment, barbell weights, yoga mats, and additional equipment. Whether you prefer strength training, cycling, rowing, or Pilates, you have room to keep your routine going. Some connected equipment requires your own subscription or account to access classes and features.

Back in the house, make an espresso or latte with the Breville espresso machine and enjoy a slow start on the deck. Your fully stocked indoor kitchen is ready for breakfast before an outing or a big dinner together. Outside, the enormous wraparound deck offers sitting areas, river views, and space for morning coffee, outdoor meals, and evening drinks. Choose between the Big Green Egg, propane grill, and Blackstone griddle, with cooking essentials close at hand. A commercial-grade margarita and slushie machine adds a little extra fun to the menu.

Your soundtrack can follow you throughout the home and out to the spa, pool, and pickleball court through Sonos audio. Please keep the volume considerate of neighboring guests.

When it’s time to recharge, retreat to one of five thoughtfully decorated bedrooms, with sleeping space for up to 10 guests. Four bathrooms and two separate living rooms give families, multiple generations, and friends room to spend time together and enjoy a little space of their own. Curl up with a book, stretch out on a comfortable couch, or sleep in while someone else starts the coffee. When your bare feet meet the heated floors in the morning, you may decide there’s no reason to rush.

Come in fall for colorful surroundings, crisp nights, warm soaks, and fireside stories. In winter, spend your days between heated swims, sauna sessions, indoor games, and the warmth of the dome’s wood-burning stove. Summer brings long pool days, outdoor competition, and dinners on the deck. Whatever the season, you can fill the day without ever leaving the lodge.

When you do head out, you’re in a quiet Coeur d’Alene neighborhood south of the river, with peaceful surroundings and convenient access to town. Downtown Post Falls is approximately 10 minutes away. Downtown Coeur d’Alene and Lake Coeur d’Alene are approximately 15 minutes away, as are Costco, Safeway, and other shopping and restaurants. Spokane International Airport is approximately 45 minutes away. Explore nearby parks, take a lakeside walk, enjoy fall scenery, or head downtown for lunch, shopping, and dinner before returning to your own evening plans.

During your stay, Sasquatch Lodge and its designated amenities are reserved for your group. You’ll have access to the home, Sasquatch Lair, private gym, hidden gaming lounge, heated Modpool, pickleball court, outdoor spa, stargazing dome, trails, decks, and firepit areas. The property is shared with Eagles Nest, a separate home that may host other guests during your visit. If you’re planning a larger getaway, message us to check availability for both homes.

A car is the easiest way to explore North Idaho, and designated Sasquatch Lodge parking accommodates up to four vehicles. The garage houses the Lair and gym, so indoor parking is not available.

For an extra-special evening or a personalized activity, ask us about local service recommendations. You might arrange a private chef for dinner or a fitness instructor for a workout. Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll help you explore the possibilities.

Please actively supervise children around the water features, firepits, trails, and stairs. Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m., and checkout is by 10:00 a.m. Pets and smoking are strictly prohibited at Sasquatch Lodge.

Your stay is professionally managed by CDA Vacation Rentals, a local team that knows North Idaho and is nearby when you need assistance. Before check-in, you’ll receive everything you need for a smooth arrival. Once you’re here, enjoy the space and privacy to settle into your vacation, with help and local recommendations just a message away.

Tonight, you might follow the trail to the spa, make s’mores around the fire, or disappear into the dome beneath the stars. Tomorrow, there’s a high score to beat, another movie to discover, and a rematch waiting on the court. Your most legendary getaway yet starts at Sasquatch Lodge.
