These few days away were a much needed and enjoyed respite from caring for both of my parents (90s).
The hosts were wonderful and the house was better than pictured.
I snuggled in huge comfy chair with a cup coffee and watched the flames in the gas fireplace.
My entire body just relaxed.
The massive windows upstairs allowed me to lay in bed and watch the sun rise over the mountains.
I could have simply closed the door for a blackout room....but why?
The house would have been perfect for my whole family - two college kids and my husband - had circumstances allowed.
The location of the house is close to Tubbs Hill (hiking with gorgeous views of the lake) and downtown.
A diner Guy Fieri, reviewed is just blocks away.
Sadly for my waistline, Coeur d'Alene also has many bakeries that also serve great coffee!
I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer so I could have sat at one of the tables outside.
Since I was traveling alone (except for my dog), it was nice to be able to park in the back of the house so no one could notice when I was in or out of the house.
A last note, Spokane is only about 45min away so I was able to go to Trader Joe's, Spokandy (local chocolate shop) and other stores where I miss shopping.
