What a top spot! A seaside getaway! The room was large and comfortable, and super clean, and the staff was friendly. Its in a perfect location for sightseeing and wanderings around the waterfront.

Very Nice Stay

The location of this quaint hotel cannot be beat! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The dining room is wonderful and the parking is easy. The rooms are not air conditioned but the breeze through the window is sufficient.

We stayed in the charming town of Cobh during the offseason, so the hotel was not very busy, but the staff was welcoming and the room, directly overlooking the water, was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the ships entering and leaving the port. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Excellent customer service and fantastic location. We would recommend The Waters Edge and stay there again anytime. Views and boating activity on the sea were beautiful. The only shortfalls included no cool air or air circulation (fan) and no mini fridge.

Nice stay with beautiful view.

We had a nice and quiet stay at this hotel, until the morning. We did not realize that cruise ships docked there and we were awakened early in the morning by a very large cruise ship. It was our fault for not realizing that really, just be aware. Other than that it was a really nice stay. We arrived late and the young man at the desk accommodated us and let us get a drink at the bar before heading off to bed.

Although the views from the property are lovely and the location is perfect, I can’t give more than 2 stars. I’d give 1 star, but the staff were very kind and helpful. However, my room was very hot, and the window was set up to barely open at all. The walls are also very thin, so you can hear any and all sounds, both inside and outside the property. The parking below the building was very difficult to get in and out of (I rented a small car, thankfully). Finally, the dishes at breakfast were dirty, and there was a hair in my food at dinner. I really expected to enjoy my stay here based on other reviews, so I’m definitely disappointed.

An old school hotel with great harm. Breakfast was excellent, plus our table looked out at the water. Room was “roomy” with plenty of space. Walkable to the train station which is next door. A terrific value.

Great location with a great restaurant attached. Very short walk in to town. Angela the front desk attendant was exceptional. We got a flat tire the morning we were to leave and she helped us in such a companionate way in a stressful situation. Highly recommend!
