Cozy Cottage On The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail

Getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life at the Wine Country Cottage. Located just one mile away from Blue Sky Winery, we are located in the heart of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Spend a couple days or a weekend exploring the award winning wineries, shops and restaurants along the Trail! The wineries and small towns that house them are gearing up for some great outdoor events and music!

Enjoy tastings, music and friends at the wineries, a gourmet dinner at The Brick House in Anna or breakfast at the Iron Whisk in Cobden! Food and music at Blue Sky, Feather Hills, Starview, Owl Creek, Alto Pass, Von Jacob, and the Peachbarn Wineries. The Makanda Boardwalk is always a fun experience and Cobden has a very nice antique shop to browse! Or, just kick back and relax on our beautiful countryside property.

Our quaint cottage on 29 acres offers a private and serene getaway along with freee range chickens and 2 barn cats ready to greet you. We are conveniently located 1.4 miles from Blue Sky Vineyards, 2.9 miles from Feather Hills Vineyard, and 5.8 miles from Starview Vineyards!

Great place to stay to relax and enjoy the wineries

Great place to stay and has all of the amenities that you need. Quiet and relaxing and close enough to wineries to really enjoy them. Has everything you need to have a great time including a hot tub and a view! Really enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

Winter winery getaway

This was a different style for us, we usually do a cabin, but this place did not disappoint. So close to many wineries and had everything we wanted, including a pool table. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Perfect home in center of wine country

Beautiful home and location in country setting, with central location for the best regional wineries. Comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, lots of room to spread out with a perfect hot tub, fire pit and large entertainment room. So peaceful!

This trip was a quick trip and couldn't have been any better. Closer to things that you can imagine. The food and beverages are better thank you can imagine. Phenomenal place to stay.

Great stay for getting away

This home is secluded and away from the busyness of Carbondale and SIU. The owners were attentive and quickly responded to our questions.If you want quiet you can find it here. We spent a lot of time relaxing and allowing our student to decompress prior to finals. The hot tub was an added bonus. Many places to visit for food in the area, just plan to drive, as you are about 20-25 min outside Carbondale. We mostly enjoyed just sitting, watching wildlife, and listening to the quiet. Great relaxing getaway.

Fantastic cottage!

I stay in many, many similar places over the years, and I have never stayed anywhere with such a well-stocked kitchen as this! There was a crockpot, good blender, and even an air-fryer! Scissors, ground coffee, olive oil- this kitchen has it all! We had a blast!

Large rural home in a quiet pasture like setting with two car garage. It was well stocked with good equipment and had freshly ground Starbucks coffee in the fridge. TV streaming service but no internet at this time. The location was great for a visit to Giant City Park. The basement had a full pool table, TV and comfortable seating,

Beautiful farmhouse

Beautiful home with deck, back patio and garage. Fully stocked, clean, comfortable and peaceful surroundings. Large Hot tub and firepit offers a great view. Pool table & games in basement were a fun bonus. Communication was easy with host. Listing is accurate and we would love to stay again in the future! We loved watching the chickens & singbirds daily. The little farm cat greeted us and was very friendly. We Would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Great location, clean place and lots to do. We had so much fun with the hot tub, pool table and darts. We loved watching the chickens run around the yard too. The description says there is no WiFi but there actually is, so that was a nice surprise. We would definitely come back or recommend!

It was quiet and very great hosts nothing really came up to have a problem with it. The little grey and white cat violet is the sweetest little thing very friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying by there. The hosts have pretty much thought of everything so you dont have to bring much except food too cook.
