9/10 Wonderful! (1,825 reviews)
I was impressed with the size of our apartment and enjoyed that the bedroom had a door separating it from the living room, so our kids who were sleeping on the foldout sofa bed could watch tv in the morning while we slept in a little. The midtown location was very convenient. The room was mostly clean, though there was a used tissue on the floor under the sofa bed when I pulled it out.

9/10 Wonderful! (1,572 reviews)
I'm torn. I have stayed at this property a number of times over the years on business. It's very clean, well located (5 minutes walk to Grand Central Station), quiet, modern and rooms are of a reasonable size. A lot to like.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a family trip in early January.
Unfortunately, I can't get past a few things:
1. The "Amenity fee" (which amounts to nearly $35 after tax) is a nuisance and unnecessary. Over 3 nights, that's just a $100 cash grab. If you need more revenue, include this in your base fee. The Vegas-style "resort fees" have spread like wildfire but doesn't mean this hotel has to do it too.
2. Upon arrival (at around noon), the front desk staff were indifferent to us. No acknowledgement of our presence at the desk (waiting patiently for them to finish whatever it was they were doing). No hello, no welcome... no warmth.. no customer service. It seemed like we were an inconvenience and - that, paired with the nuisance amenity fee - caused me to rethink whether my family should stay at the property.
I travel extensively for business and stay at many hotels - my needs are very simple and I generally have low expectations. But.. the front desk team are the face of the property and set the tone for the stay!
On the flipside, the bellhop was very friendly and responsive. We encountered staff in the elevators who were friendly and enthusiastic.
My review would have been more positive had it not been for the awful check in experience.

8.6/10 Excellent! (1,306 reviews)
Great spot. Slow elevators, but that’s like a lot of the hotels in New York. Good-ranked Mediterranean food on the ground floor, but the club music is a bit much. If you’re on the second level, it resonates. The bathroom wall made a loud banging sound that reverberated throughout the entire room. It shared a wall with the elevator. This is the biggest complaint. At 300+ a night, not disclosing this is shady. The shower was great and recently redone. Endless warm water, so that was great. Came across a drunk guy lying down in the hall on the fifth night…not sure who he was, but that wasn’t great—again, it’s New York, and I’ve seen worse. Maybe check keycards or have a security protocol. I’m super tolerant, but the cons would be no-goes for many, I'm guessing.
