Towerhouse - A modern cabin with views of Park City
Towerhouse is located up a semi-improved road off of I80. In the Winter months you must have an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle with snow tires. The roads are plowed, but snow-packed in the Winter and there are 'steep' grades. This is mountain living at it's best, there are lots of log cabins in this friendly community called Pine Meadows Ranch. The master bedroom is on the top floor of Towrehouse with an open vaulted view of the pyramid ceiling. Exposed wooden beams highlight this 400 sq ft floor. The house if perfect for a couple. If you have 1-2 extra guests there is an inflatable queen mattress or high-quality foam mattress that can be placed in the living room.
The views are spectacular and the wildlife is plentiful. On a daily basis we will see Deer, Elk, Moose, Hawks etc. We look across the valley to the 3 Park City area ski resorts; Deer Valley, Park City and Canyons. At night we can see the lights of the Heber Valley. Towerhouse was fetured in the magazine Utah Syle and design when it was built in 1996. At the time it was cutting edge with it's use of green materials, radiant heat and unique architecture. The house is 4-stories with 200sq feet on each floor. There are some interesting features that will catch the eye of any artist or designer. Marty's concept and drawings became a reality with Gigaplex's Hank Louis as the architect. Note: Snowstorms - The property manager shovels the stairs before your arrival, but not during your stay. (a shovel will be at the front door) If it snows during your stay, a plow and or blower/tractor may show up to clear the driveway. (you may need to move your vehicle during this process).

Our second time staying here for our anniversary. We love the neighborhood and its proximity to Park City, it also gets exceptional snow. The towerhouse is a great getaway with an amazing view! Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I have spent the last 15 years coming to Park city for Christmas. Our twins are now 10 and they have been coming every year as well. Normally, we always stay right in Park city or at the canyons. Now that our kids are getting older and more independent they like to go outside and explore, etc. so we just aren’t as comfortable being in such close proximity to heavy traffic and other people since they are constantly running in and out of the house. So this year we chose to stay in a house outside of Park city and drive to the slopes. This house was absolutely perfect. It had gorgeous views. It was not close to any other house so the kids could go in and out of the house freely and basically be as loud as they wanted. In the morning, we would he to PC which was only about 20 minutes away and then in the evening we would go to Woodward, which was about 15 minutes away. The location was perfect for our needs. It did snow quite a bit our last day there but we I know it is getting to the house with the four-wheel-drive truck we had. The owner of the house was extremely nice and responsive to any questions we had. He actually allowed us to stay past check out because our flight did not leave till the evening and no renters were coming in immediately after us which was extremely generous. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and I would definitely recommend this house and can’t wait to rent it again.
We had such a wonderful time at the Towerhouse. The cabin has such a warm, colorful vibe. Stunning views can be seen from every window; in fact, when sitting inside the cabin you feel like you are outside. Furthermore, the large deck off of the living room, envelopes you in shimmering aspens, majestic pines and a terrific view across the valley to Park City. It is a calming place of peace. My husband and I love the Towerhouse! Book your stay here. You will enjoy every minute!
Very relaxing and scenic cabin. One of a kind design offering a unique mountain experience! We saw moose and elk in the canyon, more wildlife then people. Highly recommend.
Towerhouse was amazing. The views can’t be beat and the house had everything you needed. Marty was very helpful and made sure we got in alright in the middle of a snow storm. In the Winter, snow tires and 4 wheel drive are a must.
The tower House met all our expectations. I’ve passed by this place for years and the remote mountains above Park city and wondered what it would be like to stay there. It was perfect. I have only one suggestion and that is to increase the wattage of the light over the dining table. But that’s it! Lots of fun. My grandchildren thought it was very cool.
Towerhouse was the perfect opportunity to stay in a unique home with amazing views. Every morning would could hear elks calling outside our window and additionally saw moose, deer and porcupine. We spent time exploring the "neighbourhood" and downtown Park City, as well as doing some hiking in the area.
As the owner clearly calls out, you're a good ways up a mountain and would absolutely need 4-wheel drive in the winter. (We did fine in a regular car since there wasn't any snow, but the roads are steep and would not be passable in a car in winter.)
We had a great time and really enjoyed staying in such an architecturally unique home.

Just what we hoped for!
Marty's house was nothing short of incredible. The view was beautiful - able to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. Listing description was accurate and the house was well-maintained/clean. TV hookups for both HP and apple computers were available. We rented a Ford Escape (without snow tires or chains) which worked well for the 4 mile incline leading up to the house which worked out really well, however it didn't snow much while we were there. If there was a significant amount of snow, we would have likely needed tire chains. During our stay, we skied at Deer Valley, Park City, and Alta. We also went bobsledding at the Utah Olympic Park (all within reasonable driving distance from house). We rented our skis from Aloha Ski & Snowboard Rental (would definitely recommend if you're needing skis!). Marty was very helpful and always a phone call/text away if we had any difficulties or questions during the trip. Would highly recommend this home :)
Make sure you get 4 wheel drive lol. Cool house and close to Park City but far enough away to be secluded. Walking thru neighborhood is picturesque and exhilarating. The mattress is quite a bit stiff but the owner is former pro cyclist so I’m sure it’s healthier and I did adjust to it.
Thank you for sharing Towerhouse with us! It is pheonemal, from the chair-lift swing and expansive deck above it, to the top-of-the world views from the master bedroom. We had a wonderful time, watching birds, deer, and a moose family. Our stay was the perfect getaway.
Just spent a fantastic three weeks at Towerhouse. Comfortable, well appointed and decorated with a nice sense of style. Awesome location with stunning views (and will echo the other comments about AWD and tires - the Tollgate Canyon roads are no joke in snow and mud season!). A perfect retreat for enjoying the outdoors and working remotely. For skiing, close to PCMR and Deer Valley, easy trip to the Cottonwoods or even to Snowbasin. Reliable high speed internet made working remote easy. Marty is an attentive and thoughtful host. Overall, highly recommended!
We really loved our stay here. The house is unique and beautifully designed. It was very easy to live and work from. We also enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets and could easily get in to Park City or Salt Lake from here. We were so sad to leave and hope to plan a trip to see it in the summer.
Absolutely wonderful time with my partner and I. Loved the location slightly away from the main city but close enough to hit the slopes everyday. We were there in the middle of a gnarly snowstorm but the house proved to be winter worthy and incredibly cosy. Needing 4x4 and chains for the snowy season is no joke. We made it safely and Marty was very communicative about when the plows came through (very frequently) so it made the travel easy. Would recommend to all family and friends to stay in this incredibly designed house.
The cabin was amazing. The view from the deck was incredible, the fall foliage was really popping while we were there. We also saw a family of moose eating from the scrub oak right next to the driveway. It was serene. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.
Towerhouse was a great getaway destination for our family! We really enjoyed the views and peaceful mountain setting, yet it’s only about 25 minutes from Park City. We enjoyed walking and running around the area and the elk and other wildlife. It was a great home base for our adventures. It was a pleasure to enjoy this unique and special home!
Excellent place to stay. Not far from town, beautiful view at night of the towns around Park City far below. Saw mama and baby moose, plus herds of deer and elk in our brief stay. House was fun and inviting. Great place to use as a base to explore, but still give you peace and quiet.
This is such unique building in a beautiful part of Utah! My partner and I had never done anything like camping or staying in a cabin, and this was a great first experience. The building was easy to access and in a quiet area with minimal traffic. We took our dogs and they had a blast exploring the house and surroundings. There was no A/C, but Marty did provide a portable fan to use when it got too hot. Luckily, with the windows open, the temperature was cool enough. Park City was 30 minutes away, which was also nice to check. Overall, a fun trip and a great host!
