"The Haslem is an excellent choice Hotel to stay if you are visiting this area or Belfast, the stay was wonderful, the included breakfast was fantastic, the proximity to the local train station to get Downtown Belfast was easy and walking distance away, I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. "Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not overrun by our fellow Americans. "

The staff were simply outstanding — the friendliest, most accommodating, helpful, and genuinely passionate team I’ve encountered. From the pre-arrival email to my departure, every interaction was warm and professional. I spend over 60 days a year on the road, travelling from the Shetland Isles to the Channel Isles, and I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing during my stay. The hotel itself is superb, and the attached golf course is a hidden gem — beautifully maintained and an absolute pleasure to play. Even the guests, both in the hotel and on the course, were incredibly friendly, which added to the whole experience. I’m already planning my return. A real credit to the Northern Ireland hospitality industry. Family business run as a family. Well done and thank you."
