"Beautiful cottage with a lot of space outside, a seating area by the stream, a great location near Millom and other Lake District locations, and a hot tub!
(Note: The hot tub use is an additional £40 flat fee, which was unmentioned on Hotel.com listing, but is on the official Sykes Cottage page)"

"Was even cuter than the pictures showed! Very warm and clean and everything was clearly well thought out and provided for. I didn’t see anywhere on the listing that we would check in at the property upon arrival so I had to call VRBO to clarify before arriving since I had not received an email with check-in info like they said I was supposed to. But check in once there was exceptionally easy and the area is gorgeous. Coast is right there and a couple pubs are a 2 minute walk. Thank you for a...

"We enjoyed another lovely stay at Deer Close Cottage. It really is perfect in every way - comfortable, clean and great location. This time we saw a deer and a few red squirrels in the garden. We can't wait to return in a few months!"

Top Cleator Moor Hotel Reviews

The Bridge Inn
6/10 Okay
"The Bridge Inn has the potential to be really nice but its the small things that let it down, the curtains not secured properly, the peeling paint and mould in the bathroom, the food was ok but not great like an inn 5 minutes down the road. Everything was just ok, not great!"

The Grange Country House
10/10 Excellent
"Very friendly and efficient staff, clean rooms, lovely breakfast, highly recommended."

Seacote Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is showing its age, but is quite clean. Room was good but basic, the room heat control was difficult, had to contact the front desk where they promptly turned on the electricricity. The room got cold at night and I tried to get the heat to work with no success, but then at 05:20 the heat came on magically. I assume they have the heat control on timer to save energy. The very large unheated outdoor pool was good but swimming would be difficult with all the large waves."

Victorian House
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. "

Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed 18th April, four of us girls, and it was just the perfect place after a full day hiking.
The room was spacious, clean, and had nice little touches, biscuits, water, milk, which made a difference. Beds were really comfy, exactly what you need after a long walk.
The spa was spot on, swim, sauna, jacuzzi, just what we needed to relax.
Great value as all four of us could stay in one room, which made it more fun and easy.
Staff couldn’t do enough for us, really welcoming and helpful throughout.
Outside area was lovely too, perfect for sitting out and catching a bit of sun.
Would definitely stay again."

Keswick Country House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel with ample parking. Easy walk into town for food or a visit to The Theatre on the lake. Excellent breakfast and bar facilities.
The only suggestion I would make is bottled water in the room would be a nice touch."

Rothay Garden by Harbour Hotels
10/10 Excellent
"First time to Grasmere and had a lovely time. The room was luxurious and welcoming, would have been happy to stay in the whole time! Random huge bottle of gin was definitely unusual. Restaurant was great, really couldn’t fault anything about the hotel or the experience."

Royal Oak at Keswick
10/10 Excellent
"We had a family room, it was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. The adjoining room with the bunk bed was very spacious.
This is an old building, so no elevator and narrow corridors but we had help with our luggage up the stairs.
Location is adjacent to the pedestrian area (lovely for a walk around) and parking is off-site about 5 min walk
away.
There is a bar and restaurant on-site and the food was good. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a fruit and cereal buffet and hot items to order from the menu.
I would definitely recommend staying here."

The Edwardene
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most amazing bank holiday weekend staying at this lovely B&B in Keswick! As two friends who love hiking, it was the perfect base for exploring the Lakes. The location couldn’t have been better – close to beautiful trails, stunning views, and the town centre for a well-earned meal after a long day out.
The room was spotless, cosy, and really comfortable – exactly what you need after a day on the fells. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, giving us great tips on walks and local spots we might have otherwise missed.
Breakfast each morning was a real highlight – fresh, delicious, and set us up perfectly for our hikes. You can tell a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home.
We honestly had such a fab weekend and didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly place to stay in Keswick – especially if you’re planning some outdoor adventures!"
