  • Bring your family and friends to this spacious lakefront home in Virginia's only lakeside town of quaint Clarksville! Gypsy Beach House is less than a block to town in a quiet neighborhood. Popular restaurants and shops are within a 5 minute drive or walk. Out the door and across the neighborhood road the property extends down to sandy Gypsy Beach for all kinds of waterfront fun!
    Your rental includes use of bag chairs and beach towels, and our 2 kayaks. This mid century modern home is a split level home with 3 steps dividing upper and lower. The main level is an open floor design, with space for 15 or more to visit comfortably. Windows across the front feature spectacular Buggs Island Lake and Gypsy Beach views. The house is ready for a crowd, with a nicely stocked kitchen including 2 full size refrigerators and dinnerware for 10.
    There are 5 large bedrooms including the master with king bed and ensuite bathroom, and mini-crib; 2 more bedrooms with queen beds; 1 bedroom with a full bed; and the 5th bedroom with 2 twins. There are a total of 3 full bathrooms. Pets are allowed and there is a small enclosed area for potty breaks, accessible through the master bedroom or through a gate from the front yard. There are two ROKU TVs on rolling carts in addition to the larger living room TV. Our propane grill, free wifi, and a couple of compressor- included blow up beds with linens are also here for you to enjoy! Remodel of this home was completed in 2025 and we are ready to welcome guests with introductory rates in 2026!
    Gypsy Beach is privately co-owned by property owners and a neighbor across the road. It is not open to the public and is never crowded. Join locals from the neighborhood for swimming, boating, kayaking, and just chilling by the water.
    Special Note - As of September 2026 our boat dock is not usable because of low lake water levels. We hope this situation is temporary and we will update our listing as soon as the lake level rises. The Army Corp of Engineers' phone line is 434-738-6633, ext 1 for the current lake level, and ext 2 for boat ramp access information.

the Host was very responsive, even proactively reached out when there was a power outage in the area to see if we were impacted.House was as described. The lake levels were low but the dock was still accessible from the water!

We were very pleased with the Home spacious and clean myself and my daughters have allergies to pets, but it was very pleasing to fine that we had no reactions. Only suggestion would be to have the Driveway fixed. My daughter has a low car and she scraped it coming in but on the all we were very pleased. Hopefully we can if available next year around the same time get it again. Location is excellent.

Ann is the PERFECT host! Her home is gorgeous, overstocked with EVERYTHING, and perfect for a large group. There is something for everyone. Our youngest son loved all the toys, and our older kids loved playing chess, the piano, and the other games. We really enjoyed kayaking as well. We caught lots of fish, enjoyed the close proximity to town, and had a ball tubing behind our boat right in front of the house. Hearing the live music at the brewery while sitting out on the dock was an extra bonus! We love the blend of modern and classic in her home and are so thankful for all of the supplies and treats she included. Our only complaint would be that the hill going to and from the dock could pose a challenge for an older person or someone with a mobility issue (as we had in our group). However, we will bring our golf cart next time for that. Overall, this home is amazing! Thank you, Ann!
