We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. It was nice having the kayaks and paddle boards! We appreciated the snacks and well stocked kitchen.
The cabin was comfortable and cozy. The record player, the games and the mid-century feel all lent themselves to a relaxed, homey getaway. The canoe and kayaks added to the fun and relaxation. The amount of lighting options were perfect for our family of neuro-divergents. All the small touches added up to a warm, inviting place to relax and regroup after a hectic event. The hosts made check-in/check-out clear and easy. All the comforts of home, halfway across the country!
Absolutely adorable lil place perfect for our party of 3 for the location close to pine knob theatre and so many great restaurants and i loved waking up on the lake ...
This home provided the perfect respite in between hospital visits to see my elderly father. The hosts were incredibly gracious and helpful!!! The canoe kayaks , fire pit and garden added to make this a perfect visit to clarkston!!
Wonderful property, private location. Great touches from the owners. Used the kayaks and paddleboards to explore the surrounding lakes. Well stocked for all your needs.
The property was very clean and well organized the bed we slept in was comfortable and the area is very quiet. I highly recommend staying here if you like a cottage on a lake without having to drive further north. We were in town visiting with family and they visited and enjoyed fishing on the lake and the lakes it connected to. It was a great stay that we will always remember and wish we had more time to stay and visit the town of Clarkston that is within walking or biking distance we will definitely consider coming back to this property.
This was amazing, exactly what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful, perfection. The kayaks were awesome, the location is great. You can tell the host cares about the property and guests. I hope to come back!
We were there for girls weekend and we had a blast! From the thoughtful snack basket, to the extra towels along with the fun record player, it was amazing! The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun to explore the lakes on. Would definitely recommend! Matt and Mary were really communicative and ensured we had an amazing time! Thanks again!

Was a nice cabin but not cleaned well. Found a cigarette/joint in living room under one of the chairs. Overall was okay stay. Shower curtain had mold on it.

My adult children and I went to a concert at Pine Knob. Originally booked a hotel but then saw this cabin so I decided to make a mini vacation out of it and booked here instead. It was a close easy drive between here andvthe venue. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. So many cute antique items. We loved the turntable and old albums.
The cabin reminded me of those from my childhood. Private location yet close to many activities.
The house is decorated with a mid-century vibe from the furniture to the appliances. Very charming.
The lake view is relaxing and morning coffee on the front porch was perfect.
The beer, wine and snacks provided were a nice surprise.
Nearby downtown Clarkston is charming and great for a stroll. There is also a sandy beach very close at Deer Lake.
We had so much fun here and enjoyed the property. It was clean and as advertised!!! Had a very homey feel. The owners were very friendly and informative. We will def be coming back again. Highly recommend.
We spent a long weekend in September and we were blessed with beautiful weather. That allowed us to take full advantage of the extras available! Matt showed me how to take a shortcut to walk to downtown Clarkston, where we had lunch and played at Depot park.
We kayaked, a lot! My 8 year old took the opportunity to learn how to kayak on our first day and then spent as much time as possible on the two lakes. It was such a blessing to have the kayaks, life jackets, canoe and paddle boards. Really helped to keep everyone entertained.
Matt delivered charcoal on our arrival day to make sure we had enough for our stay, and provided firewood for evening bonfires. The house was sufficiently stocked, including beer and wine for the adults and snacks for the kids. Everything we needed to cook was easily found in the adorable cabin kitchen. The tiny dishwasher was a welcome bonus during our cabin stay.
The beds were extremely comfortable. I travel quite a bit and it’s such a relief to have a comfortable mattress when you’re not sleeping at home. The view of the lake out of the “main” bedroom was breathtaking. Was king up to nature every morning was the best way to start the day.
They were the ultimate hosts and made us feel relaxed and welcomed. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
