"Our stay at the Hampton City Centre Dundee was wonderful. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and very helpful. Any requests we had were met with no hesitation- from baggage storage until we could check in, to storing our take away food containers until we were ready to eat. They provided us with information regarding tours and things to do and see during our stay. The room was excellent and well maintained. "The apartment was overall very good, only let down by a poorly fitted kitchen tap, which was very wobbly but worked. We appreciated the supplied teabags, sachets of coffee, soap, towels etc.
The deposit system was a bit confusing - I expected to see a £250 payment on my card to be followed by a refund, but it seems they just held the card details "in case" so I guess no charge will be made now, after over a week.
The location was very convenient, only a few minutes' walk from the station, V&A, RRS Discovery etc. It was only let down by the bar three doors away having a singer most nights (not too bad) and what sounded like karaoke on the Friday, which got more out-of-tune as the evening went on. Maybe it's just me being sensitive to that as a musician. No problem in the bedroom but a bit intrusive in the living room if you're reading quietly. Not much Greenstar can do about it, and nobody else has mentioned it in reviews so it's probably me!"
