"Breakfast mostly carbs but had hard boiled eggs and juice.
The AC unit was kept room cool
We were surprised that no one told us there would be no room service (fresh towels, etc) on our 2nd day. We had to track someone down to get a couple more towels. "
"The pictures on the website did not match the conditions of property. Upon entering my room it smelled of urine and the window was wide open. There was also dirty linens in the bathroom. The sore from the inside looked like it had been broken into multiple times.
I asked to see another room after reporting to the office. I was given a key to preview the room and it would not open. Went back to the office and the lady went with me to the room. When she opened the door there was already a gentleman in the room and was not happy. I ended up asking for my money back and stayed at another hotel."
"This place was a total dump…disgusting and lacking in every sense. I still can’t believe I paid $100 for that room. First off…we got 2 towels in our room that sleeps 4. So my husband went to the front desk and asked for more. The office lady said she would go find some and bring them to us. She came to our room a few minutes later and gave us 2 towels. I went to use one and luckily I didn’t just throw it around me because it had SH*T smears all over it!! Seriously, literally poop all over it. My husband was furious and brought it back to her and she had some excuse about how the dryer was broken so she grabbed some towels from a different pile than the clean towels were usually kept after drying, and she must have grabbed a towel from the “stained” pile. OMG!?!?! And that wasn’t just a stain…that was fresh sh*t. She said she’d have to go find a new towel from another room. Also, the beds were rock hard and had nothing but 1 flimsy sheet. In the morning, breakfast was supposed to be at 7 a.m. with coffee at 6 a.m. There was a line of people at the lobby doors at 7:30 of people hoping to catch some breakfast and coffee before they hit the road. There were multiple phone numbers listed on the door to call for assistance,..but none of the numbers worked or “the voicemail box was full.” You have got to be kidding me. They had a lot of really annoyed customers standing there shaking their heads. So sh*t stained towels, no breakfast, hard beds with no covers…don’t stay here. "
"The parking lot was well lit with ample spaces. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would choose to stay there again the next time we are visiting Silver City."
Historical cottage located in the heart of downtown (pet friendly)
10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the teacher's cottage. The house combines the charm of an old farmhouse with perfectly updated bathrooms, kitchen, appliances, and decor. Everything fits together so well, with quirky touches throughout, including a 1950's pencil sharpener attached to the wall in the kitchen, bird nest decorations upstairs and down, and a charming collection of vintage cameras. The location is great, just one block off the main street with multiple coffee houses, restaurants, art galleries, and curio shops. It was easy to walk to all of those shops. The only downside is that we wished we had more time to enjoy the cottage and Silver City. "
"Very comfortable and well equipped. It’s nice to find a pet friendly property when so many won’t allow them. The house is set on a large plot which affords privacy. Overall a very nice experience. "
