"The location close to the port was important with ferry access but it was nice to be able to walk around the historical port area. The staff spoke English and were very helpful- I had not had lunch and was starving - they graciously made me a snack (it was not free but I was grateful). They also made a great dinner recommendation in close proximity. The previous night the area was involved in protests and I felt very safe as a female solo traveler."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Circuit 1C1?
For the best weather and a comfortable trip to Circuit 1C1, the ideal time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from December to May.

During these months, you'll experience consistently warm temperatures, generally between 24°C and 30°C, with lower humidity and less rainfall. This makes it superb for outdoor activities like exploring the waterfalls and hiking trails that Guadeloupe is known for. The sea is also calm and warm, making it excellent for swimming, snorkelling, and diving.

Travellers looking for a relaxed beach holiday will particularly enjoy this period. The reduced chance of rain means more uninterrupted time on the sand and in the water. It's also a good time for those interested in water sports like sailing or paddleboarding, as the conditions are generally more favourable.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline − this is often within 24 to 48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our 'Fully refundable property' filter during your search to find the right Circuit 1C1 hotel for you.

Plus, you'll earn OneKeyCash™* on eligible bookings to use on future trips.
