"Passamos 4 dias na Casa da Corte, na Quinta Lamosa, e gostamos muito! A casa é muito espaçosa, tem uma cozinha bem completa, lareira, varanda com vista para a mata e um deck que deve ser muito aproveitado no verão (Estivemos lá no inverno). "Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "

"We stayed in the suites, which were huge. I think there’s only one on each floor. It was a lot of volume to cool, but the Air conditioning was able to work really well in one of our two rooms and it worked OK in the other. Considering that we were sleeping 4 people in each room, he should’ve had a better sofa bed. The slots were so bent and broken, and the mattress is only like 2 inches thick. My teenage son did not get a good nights sleep because of this. They were nice enough to bring a second 2 inch mattress making it thicker but it was still sagging. Considering these were suites of the hotel, they should have the nicest mattresses for the sofa bed. Then one of my other teenage son slept in the second night and his back and shoulder were sore for days. Property itself is beautiful with the swimming pool and the incredible views. The staff was nice. I think they just need to address the sofa bed issue. Sleep is usually the number one priority for travelers."
