Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was impeccable. Absolutely loved having a washer/dryer, good-sized fridge and microwave in the room! Heated toilet seat and bidet, so nice! Firm beds, crisp lovely white bedding and fluffy duvets. Drawers and clothes-hanging space so we could store luggage away under the beds. The small, basic gym was clean and effective, appreciated having a full set of dumbbells ranging from pretty small up to 10k pairs and a weight bench two treadmills and a stationary cycle. The public bath was great to have a hot soak- several shower stalls and the L-shape of the soaking tub made it a little less “open,” if you’re feeling self-conscious. This property is a smaller one than a couple other sister properties in the area, but it has everything you need. The proximity to Tsukiji is unbeatable as is the easy distance to Kabukiza, central Ginza and train station entrances. This was a great hub for part of our Tokyo stay. Staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Everything about the properly is excellent. The location is excellent (quite yet nearby busy Ginza and Tokyo Station), all members of staff we interacted with were excellent, all the amenities were excellent. The AC worked perfectly, the massage chair seemed dumb at first but we soon loved it, everything about the bathroom was perfect. The only "issue" was how small the rooms, but they designed them very thoughtfully so we never felt cramped while staying there and we had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again next time I am in Tokyo."

KOKO HOTEL Ginza 1chome
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel. Excellent location in Ginza. The room, for 3, was small, but clean. The lobby area was small and felt cramped."

Shinjuku Granbell Hotel
4/10 Poor
"I have stayed at this hotel twice. On this visit I was disappointed at the lack of service and disinterest. I could not understand their lack of willingness to help. The hotel is tired and showing signs of age and lack of investment. There are better hotels in the area in the same price bracket."

"Housekeeping is very minimal and hotel has stated a rule for more detailed housekeeping (namely changing of bedsheets and washing of shower area) would require front desk to be informed b4 9 am that day. The basic housekeeping is just cleaning of floor, changing of towels, disposal of garbage and basic tidying of bedsheets. What I found not accepting was, my stray hairs that were on the counter top next to the sink remained there for the entire duration I was there, since it’s not covered under their housekeeping tasks. Some stray hairs stuck to the legs of the chairs also remained stuck there for days. Tissue papers accidentally dumped on the floor between the single beds also remained there for days. Toilet definitely not washed during the duration I was there. And also the shower floorboard made of probably plastic, already some certain spots damaged, hence they looked dirty or badly maintained. Overall I really love the hotel location and how warm the front desk staff were, even the room size being small was ok to me since Japanese hotel rooms are typically small, but it’s just the housekeeping part putting me off n makes me doubtful whether I would stay there next time."

Hotel Gracery Shinjuku
8/10 Good
"The hotel location is perfect. The facilities, size of the room were good size. They did not have all toiletries that other Hotels in Japan provide or the same category of even a lower tier hotel category. It was little disappointing that the Godzilla head terrace was close for the time we stay there."

The Royal Park Canvas Ginza Corridor
4/10 Poor
"Location is excellent and the staff are genuinely lovely — warm, helpful, and a true highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. 🛏️ Room Design — The room layout is a serious problem. One bed is fine, but the second requires you to literally climb over the mattress to get in and crawl out the other side. There is roughly 20cm of space between the bed and the wall, made worse by a raised platform that makes it near impossible to squeeze through. This is a significant design flaw that should be clearly disclosed in the room description. It may be manageable for younger, agile guests, but for elderly travellers like myself, it was genuinely uncomfortable. 🍳 Breakfast — Disappointing. Five rigid set options with no substitutions, served in what felt like an automated fashion. It lacked the warmth and variety you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. 📞 Post-checkout Contact — When I accidentally left my charger behind, reaching the hotel proved almost impossible. They provide a single international phone number that is extremely costly to call from overseas, and a FAX number — in 2026! This needs to be urgently addressed. 🎉 Lobby — The small lobby functions more as an event venue than a hotel lobby. Live DJs and parties on weekends make it unsuitable for guests looking to unwind. This should be clearly stated upfront so guests can make an informed choice. Five days here was a frustrating experience overall. However, the staff deserves five stars."
