1 flannel 1 towel each. No hand towels. 1 t towel and a dishcloth wasn't much bigger than my hand. Towels weren't changed. Yard was disgraceful. Inadequate heating for winter. Hairdryer didn't go. The list goes on. Will never go back there or recommend it to anyone. I will say the sheets were clean and the little old lady at counter was lovely. So disappointed was looking forward to a lovely weekend. Very rarely get away.

Comfortable beds and spacious. However, the place is old and tired. Very friendly helpful staff but moeny could be spent in upgrading many things.

we ready enjoy staying here The lady that checks you in goes the extra mile to help .we have booked here more than once . the motel is very clean lovely hot water nice beds . races just across the road bus stop at door . lovely places to have meals just down the road and only a 15 min walk to Riccarton mail .we ready in joyed our stay that much we have already booked our next holiday.

It was a reap off for the money we paid. among 4 adults just a single toilet and shower all in in one was bit odd and was told this is a standard in newzealand. Everything was very shabby and dirty and sub standard. would never recommend anyone..

The shower was poor no pressure , the washing machine didn't ring the clothes and the dryer never dryed the clothes , I did tell the management the lady did put our clothes through her dryer but not good enough .

Best Motel in Christchurch.
our holiday was amazing we loved staying at this motel the staff looked after your every need just like you were one of there family. heaps of hot water and a wonderful big bath.we did not want to leave we enjoyed it there so much. the bus stopped at the gate and you can travel all around Christchurch.

Beware wheelchair users
Check in was unsatisfactory as requested a shower stool and this was not provided nor did they attempt to get one after I pointed this out.. The staff couldn't answer simple questions about the area perhaps due to the fact English was their second language. Not enough power points in room and power cord to blow heater to short to fit plug. Water pressure very poor in shower with water dribbling out. Room set up was not suitable for wheelchair, furniture placement restricted use.

Great motel!
Very happy with my recent 3 day stay at Econo lodge. Beautiful gardens & excellent privacy/quiet. Lovely setup of units and my twin studio unit was modern, clean, spacious and I was very cosy & warm inside the unit at all times in a very cold spell of weather. Hosts were lovely people and welcoming, friendly with outstanding service. Definitely staying again on my next trip to Christchurch!

Value for minimal money
The room was immaculate and serviced the 2 days that we stayed there. Receptionist welcoming and informative when we asked about were to eat out etc. A very nice place to stay with no traffic notice, highly recommended

Great location, back off the road so you didn’t hear road noise. Nice garden with outdoor table for you to use. Unit is compact but mainly clean apart from mould in the storage cupboard. Shower had very little pressure the tap ran faster. Ok for a night”s stay.

The unit was very clean, the beds comfortably firm, the kitchenette quite well appointed apart from the dinosaur of a microwave - a mechanical one. The cabinetry is pretty tired looking. Long life milk pods - yuck! The unit was small, meaning the sofa position was useless for watching the television - the beds were the only option. But we weren't there to watch TV. The flow from the shower head hit my 6' son somewhere around mid chest and we had to run round under it to get all wet!! No towel rails in the bathroom. For one or two nights, we'd happily stay here again as it was good value for money, central to where we needed to be and suited our needs.
