Loved the location. Great basic accommodations. Excellent help from the staff. Literally walked across the road and we were in Hagley Park and close to the botanical gardens within minutes.
Older style property, clean and comfortable. Only negative was poor water pressure in the shower. Nice location. Easy walk to the CBD. Free transfers to TranzAlpine rail. Nice and quiet.
We stayed on a Friday night. Bad choice for this location. Boy racers hooned up and down the street most of the night. Noisy drunken people in the park. Noisy drunken tenants next door. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star is because of the service and the quality of the room.
Nice property with amenities, good for families, convenient location.

Great value for family stay near downtown area.
Location was great for Christchurch as well as the price for fitting family of five. Still, overall it was kind of tight space with bed in the main living room, plus relatively small bathroom. But location made it perfect for a one night stay.
great stopover for a few days. Wonderful location, large room and fully stocked kitchen (pans, plates, utensils). The owner at check in was quite friendly and had lots of info about what's about town. Would stay again
We had a late book in and the correspondence from the venue was excellent so we could enter the premises ourselves. Next day we were offered and took the free courtesy bus to the station to meet the transalpine scenic train.
Comfortable and convenient accommodation for a family of five including three children. Beautiful walk into Christchurch centre through Botanic Gardens. Owner was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Nice and quiet, very warm. Close to city centre, Hagley Park and Westfield Riccarton. Owner was fantastic, above and beyond. Went out of her way to assist. Would stay again.
Great value for money . Excellent location and quiet . If you expect new facilities you will need to stay elsewhere. The unit was very clean and we will definitely stay again . The units are very spacious.also
Very friendly and helpful owner, room was comfortable and had everything needed for a night's stay. Shower was a bit small and dated but still warm and functional. Good spot for a cost effective night in Chch
The Rooms were a lot smaller than what the photos online depicted. Water wasn't hot, everyone had barely warm showers. Great area though and very comfortable beds.
The property was not unique, cracked vanity, cracked bathroom window, but it was clean and convenient. My biggest issue was inability to get wifi, which impacted my stay to the extent that I will not consider future stays at Argyle on the Park.

Dear Neil, Thank you for your review. Things are getting broken from time to time and sometimes it is getting longer to fix them. The window cracked was already scheduled to be replaced. As for WIFI you should have asked us and we would help you. Sometimes it is just the matter of rebooting the router. It is really easy to ask, instead of being not happy and upset. We work hard here to make your stay comfortable but we cannot help you if you don't tell us that there is a problem.

Dear Aziz, Thank you for your review. Sorry you feel that way but I must say that when you stay in any accommodation you have to follow certain rules. When you don't then expect to be asked to do that. If that is not friendly then what can I say. We work hard to get our rooms clean and comfortable for our guests. You should have noticed that when you checked in. That is also reflected in many other reviews. All we ask in return to have at least some respect for our hard work here.
We were met at the train station by the owner and driven straight to the motel where we were met with a friendly greeting and advice about trips and food in the area. Our room was very spacious and had every conceivable gadget you could want - especially multiple overseas electrical sockets and Netflix. A great place to stay. I’d score six out of five if allowed.
Had storage for our e-bikes but unfortunately the wing mirrors got broken.

It was a bit run down and shabby. It was not updated. It was clean and functional. The location was perfect for our needs. The staff was helpful and efficient.
Late check-in handle through lockbox. After 8 pm no hotel shuttle so took metro bus #3 from airport for $2.10. Get off at third stop and then walk 5 minutes to hotel.
Room was large, comfortable and clean.
Close to restaurants.
Had baggage storage and transportation to airport on request.
We stayed for a night prior to flying out of Christchurch - we were offered a free lift from the train station and then the manager Lena kindly arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport early the following day. The room was well equipped and had everything we needed and had we been staying in Christchurch it was a short walk across Hadley Park to the lovely Botanical Gardens and a further 10 minute walk to the city centre. I would definitely stay here again.
Very spacious with separate bedroom plus 2nd queen bed in living/dining and full kitchen with lots of plates and cooking utensils. Handy to city just across Hagley Park. Free drop of to train. Thoroughly recommend.
Good accommodation in a great position opposite the park with a 20 min walk into the city and public transport nearby. Staff were pleasant and very helpful, laundry facilities good and a bonus was the free transfers supplied to the Tranzalpine rail station.
I love the place so much which was just easy access to my needs and plans. Everything is just too good and well service.I will surely recommend it to my friends
