The inn is spectacular and the staff is great. The o Lu bad thing is that you can hear everything, including walking, in rooms above and next to yours in the inn. It would be great if the hotel made more of an effort to make guests aware of this so people can have a more restful stay.

We stayed in a luxury room in the main building. The lodge was very cozy, comfortable and convenient. There was a cozy restaurant downstairs with great service and they had many board games and puzzles to play by the fireplace. They also had a hot tub, sledding and firepit outside. The picture they show on the website with the vaulted ceilings is for a private lodge rental, not the actual hotel. I thought it was the actual hotel when I booked. If you are a light sleeper, the walls are very thin and the doors are very loud when they close. I was woken up by the people upstairs walking in the middle of the night and the closing of doors. Maybe request a room at the end of the hallway upstairs. We also had to crack a window at night because even at the lowest setting the radiators had us cooking in the room. On the first night they ran out of hot water by evening, as the hotel was fully occupied. I could have waited an hour or two to shower if I wanted hot water, or I recommend showering early.

This property is situated in a spectacularly beautiful area. The staff was friendly and the food service was very good. That said, the very expensive room was disappointing - particularly because our room was lit by three small table lamps with what seemed like 40-watt bulbs. So dark! After sunset we had to use flashlights to find things. Extremely disappointing.

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! My husband and I went to Mountain Top for our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more lovely. Really enjoyed the time here. Restaurant on property is amazing. Lobster chowder is a must! Was upset some things like horseback riding and boats were not available. Standard room, beautiful resort.

The resort was beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating! 4 people in the standard room w/ 2 fulls was a little tight but I think you're paying more for the resort as a whole. My only advice to the management is to better insulate the pipes since the hot water would sometimes take up to 5 minutes to come out, especially in the morning. Also, note the sauna is only open with the spa from 9-2pm. It would have been since to hit after a long day on the mountain, but the hours are listed on the website.
