Forest Hideaway Resort PVT LTD

10/10 Excellent
"This is a pleasant budget venue minutes from the gate of Bardiya National Park. The rooms include mosquito nets, fans, and A/C. The bathrooms are very simple, but include hot water. The food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast is included. We at lunch and dinner there too because there are really no other options nearby without a vehicle. Water was provided. Laundry was available. There is reasonable wifi in the common areas and limited in the rooms. The facility has a generator that provides electricity for basic functions if the power goes out (it went out briefly a few times during our stay). The venue provides and organizes safaris and walking trips into the park. The rates were reasonable. We had an open jeep (no covering), a guide, and a driver. The half-day and full-day safaris were quite straining on the body and I recommend anyone considering them do research about the different options. We were fortunate to see elephant, rhino, five kinds of deer, dozens of birds species and a python coiling around a recent kill... but no tigers. I would stay there again, but my friend found it a bit exhausting. The owner arranged transport to and from Nepalgunj (about 2 hours and USD50 each way)."

8/10 Good
"The service at this hotel is quite normal and doesn’t match the standard of branded hotels like Siddhartha. It’s not really worth the price they charge. Guests often need to redial or remind the staff multiple times for basic requirements. Overall, the experience wasn’t very impressive considering the cost. There are better hotel options available nearby that provide more value for money."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Chisapani?
The best area to stay in Chisapani is generally near the Karnali Bridge and along the main road that runs through the town. This area is the most developed part of Chisapani, offering the greatest selection of guesthouses and eateries. It's where the main activity is, with views of the Karnali River and the impressive suspension bridge. You'll find most amenities within a short walk here. For travellers seeking convenience and easy access to local services, staying near the bridge is ideal. This location puts you right at the heart of the town's small commercial area, making it easy to find meals and any supplies you might need before heading out on further adventures.Couples looking for a relaxed stopover will appreciate the river views and the selection of guesthouses that often feature outdoor seating areas.
When is the best time to go to Chisapani?
The best times to visit Chisapani are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months. These periods offer the most pleasant weather conditions for exploring the region. In spring, the rhododendrons are in bloom, painting the hillsides with colour, and the days are generally warm and sunny. Autumn brings clear skies and comfortable temperatures, great for hiking and enjoying the impressive mountain views. For those planning to embark on treks, these months are particularly suitable. The trails are typically dry and well-maintained, and the visibility for panoramic views of the Himalayas is at its best. This allows for a more enjoyable and less strenuous experience, which is ideal for travellers who appreciate quality outdoor adventures. While the winter months (December to February) can be cold, with potential for snow at higher elevations, they can also offer incredibly clear views. However, some facilities might be closed, and trekking can be more challenging.
