BUNKHOUSE RV - MOUNTAIN VIEWS ON A BUDGET & MINUTES TO GLACIER EAST ENTRANCE
8/10 Good
"Good location for access to Many Glacier and St Mary entrances to the park. Quiet, ranch setting. Wi-Fi and TV may not work, but as soon as you drive to Babb, just 4 miles south, all messages can be sent and received. Clean RV. Very nice and responsive host."
Miista'k Mountain Cabin -- Modern Cabin -- 15 Min to Glacier East Entrance
10/10 Excellent
"This was such a pleasant surprise! I was lucky to snag two nights after I saw a cancellation several weeks ago. The cabin was top-notch, the hosts were so welcoming, and the view was spectacular. This cabin had an excellent, relatively private and quiet location on the east side of Glacier and it was very accessible to the St. Mary entrance, the Many Glacier entrance, and the Two Medicine entrance. We found the west side to be too busy, so we enjoyed one day there hiking, but spent three days from Logan's Pass eastward. The cabin was clean and cozy. We used both the bedroom and the pull-out sofa. The shower felt so good after a long day hiking, and it was nice to sit on the back deck in the evening. I would definately return and recommend to anyone!"
"We loved this hidden gem. It was so clean, and the property was beautiful. It was perfect after being in Glacier National Park all day. We would 100% stay here again! It had a cabin feel to it and was so cool to stay on a ranch."
"Clean and comfortable loft space for our family of 5, including 3 teens. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and we were able to prepare breakfast and all but one dinner easily during our 4 night stay. The beds and large sectional were comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets for the cool nights. The location is ideal for visiting the Many Glacier area which has many of the popular long hikes, but note that it does require a 2 mile drive down a gravel road (we did not have any trouble in our SUV). Kent & Vicki are wonderful and thoughtful hosts and we would stay here again."
"What a treat to stay where you take a few steps from the hotel to the lake and view the mountains and scenery--no need to drive, although there are beautiful sights within driving distance and wonderful hiking trails that allow you to get even closer to the beautiful scenery.
We stayed in a double bed room on the basement/lake floor. Special treat to have a second door with screen door that opened to the lake side of the hotel. This part of the hotel has an elevator for which we were grateful, especially after viewing all the stairs both inside and out. The room was comfortable with fan and even a small desk.
We took the hotel tour offered each afternoon. Our tour guide was interesting and shared much of the history of how the hotel was built, remodeled and remodeled again--had a notebook of pictures that helped understanding of the changes over the years.
We ate in the Ptagmigan Dining Room for breakfast--the breakfast continental breakfast met our needs. Lunch and dinner were enjoyed in the Swiss Lounge. There is also a small store on the lake level of the hotel which sells snacks, drinks and other food options. Staff in all hotel locations were friendly and helpful.
Excellent choice IF you can get a reservation!"
Rising Wolf Getaway: pet friendly 2-bedroom cabin in beautiful Babb, Mt.
10/10 Excellent
"Awesome, peaceful stay on the east side of the park. Very clean, and the cabin had everything we could need for amenities (she has thought of everything!). Owner was very hospitable, and even helped us out when we forgot some medicine. Very private road, and we were excited to see a bear from the car. Close to Two Sisters Cafe for a great place to eat. We would definitely stay there again!"
