The room was great, the beds were comfy and the view was awesome. We enjoyed the gym, spa, shopping and food without going out into the super cold weather. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The perfect staycation!

We had an incredible stay- we are already planning on Christmas 2024 Chicago ritz, and are telling everyone about the magical experience. Everyone was so nice to the kids . Special shoutout to Jorge at the restaurant with his balloon animals - a highlight

Terrible experience. I have stayed at many Ritz Carleton properties. This Chicago location was very disappointing. The staff are rude, aloof and disorganized. Upon arrival the door man doesn’t even open the front door. Restaurant staff are rude and take forever to serve you. Upon check out I didn’t even get asked how my stay was. In addition, the cleaning staff knocks on your door way prior to check out demanding when we are leaving. The spa is a disaster. I had booked services for myself and my mom and when we arrive they are telling us someone cancelled our reservation. After 20 mins of back and forth finally I said we are leaving then she says “oh I was mistaken.” I found your services. What kind of Ritz Carlton is this? They could learn a lot from the Ritz Carlton in Toronto. This would never have taken place in Toronto.

Hotel and staff were great. My only complaint is that the room was hot even when we turned the thermostat down to 68. I am sure it had to do with the changing seasons...not really a complaint. Bed and linens super comfortable. Shower had great water pressure, hot. Would definitely stay again

I specifically reserved a Handicapped Accessible room. Instead I was given a regular room, which was also very far from the elevator. Because we checked in rather late at night, I did not notice the lack of handicapped facilities until the next morning; and I was just too exhausted to move rooms, since I had already unpacked. I felt very uncomfortable using the bathroom without the grab bars that were promised. I don't understand how an oversight like this can occur.

I have stayed in all kinds of hotels from Motel 6 to the Waldorf Astoria New York. I hesitated staying at Ritz because of the stigma of being "Ritzy". I was very disappointed that my room was not at all "Ritzy" On the contrary it was ordinary. Ordinary as compared to a Holiday Inn. Biggest complaint was the fact that there was no closet space, no drawers, and no place in the bathroom to put anything away. I stayed for over a week and wanted to unpack. I had to live out of my suitcase. I saw signs that you had "redefined luxury". I agree, you changed the feeling of luxury to ordinary. When I visited the Ritz in Chicago for a drink many years ago, I thought it was beautiful. Now, I must again use the word "ordinary". I won't be staying with you again. I can get ordinary anywhere.
