The lobby was inundated with families camped out and wholly indifferent to the other guests. Screaming children raced up and down the corridors while parents slept on the chairs and couches. I never saw one staff member even attempt to gain control over the situation. This was not a hotel but a circus. I will never stay at this property again.

The hotel was very accomodating to my request for a late check out. My only complaint was the parking lot behind the hotel is not very well lit. I am a women taveling alone & I felt unsafe back there

We were extremely disappointed with the Hyatt Regency. There was water damage to the walls in the bathroom in our room. The pool was out of service, the restaurant was understaffed, then they made a mistake on our dinner order. The room service in the morning was so slow in delivering our order we did not have enough time to eat it because it came too close to the hotels check out at 11:00 am. Then when we checked out I went to use the men's room in the lobby and found diarrhea all over the toilet seat and the stench in the bathroom was so overwhelming that I had to immediately leave.

My MacBook Pro was left behind in the room and housekeeping looked for it and found it. The gentleman at the front desk gave me plates and silverware after the restaurant was closed. They gave me a towel to borrow to clean my car from the snow. Their customer service was superb. I will come back each chess tournament.

The location is convenient and spacious. Staff was great. However, the entrance can be confusing to find especially if you arrive at night. No signs that clearly directs you to the entrance.

Property is beautiful. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Only negative was how I was not greeted on check in. The gentleman working at 11 pm simply stated “I need an id”. And he didn’t tell me the room I reserved wasn’t available. I went to my room to find the phone making noises like it was off the hook and it was a small double room. The woman at the desk was very helpful and got me a new room (still no king available) but phone was quiet and she offered me comp breakfast which I kindly declined. Not their fault that kings were not available but the gentleman could have informed me before I went up. And could have said “welcome to the Hyatt”, etc. Otherwise a good stay. I would stay again.

Schaumburg Hyatt review
The hotel could use some updating. On the room floors, carpet was stained, room furniture was visibly scratched and bed skirt was tattered. Ceiling tiles were damaged in the hall. On the plus side, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was clean and comfortable . The breakfast was vast and varied and parking was easy.

Great walk-in shower and wonderful water pressure. The bathroom could have been a little larger overall but counter space was great. King size bed was very comfortable but pillows were way too soft.

short stay from ohare delay
had to stay an extra night at ohare and the Hyatt stay was very nice and not real expensive. it is worth drive from ohare to schaumburg to stay here and the restaurants for dinner were excellent.

Stayed at this property for a short business trip and this property was excellent from checking in to checking out. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The bar in the lobby also served a quick bite to eat after a long flight and the employee service was outstanding. They also have a Starbucks where you can catch a quick hot chocolate if you don’t drink coffee and the workers so friendly. I have stayed in multiple hotels in the area for business and by far, this Hyatt is outstanding. I would not hesitate to stay here for future business trips. Kudos to the staff for your service. By the way-great location across the street from the mall and surrounded by multiple restaurants in the area. Thank you Hyatt!

Decent stay, nothing overly special
The hotel is overall nice, updated, and has decent needed amenities. The lobby is large and easily accommodates large groups with many seating areas suited for work, conversation, etc. There are some annoying aspects that make a longer stay a little cumbersome. The bathroom in our King Suite was incredibly small - the door barely cleared the toilet. There was a refrigerator in the closet, which wasn't in the listing, but it worked minimally well. Some of our rooms had couches that pulled out to beds, others didn't. Some rooms didn't have a couch. The staff is friendly, but they don't do a good job orienting you on arrival so that you know what options are available for eating, where to find things, etc. We were there for a convention, so our schedule didn't really allow for going off-site, but on-site options for food/drink are very limited, require waiting in long lines, and are expensive. Additionally, The housekeeping staff uses the guest elevators all day, waiting exasperatedly for a free elevator, and taking up full cars with their linen carts. This is perplexing, since there is a service elevator.
