Rooms are old and dirty. Property clearly has not been kept up well. My bathroom door didn’t close properly and didn’t lock. The bathroom door also had damage that looked like a burn on it. The air conditioning unit was so loud it sounded like a B52 bomber was taking off in the room. Carpet in the room didn’t look like it had been cleaned in 3 years. Tried to buy a water to drink at night - no vending machines.. went to lobby to purchase and had to be charged to the room.. just an annoyance. Needless to say.. dirty, old, not nice, and will not be back.

The night manager was all by herself and she was very apologetic. Due to computer issues it took 30 minutes to check in. There were kids running around everywhere. Floors were sticky.

Smelled like Cigarettes
The room I stayed in, although non smoking had the worst smell of cigarettes and weed. The bedding even had the smell cigarettes and made it hard to sleep. When we checked out in the morning and left our jacket and clothes still had that smell. The toilet seat and shower door in the bathroom were also broken. The shower door was off the track and made it hard to get in and out of the shower.

The manager and I had a disagreement about the deposit. I was very rude and he got snappy as well. We worked everything out apologized to each other for being rude and had a good laugh about it. I wasn’t able to try the breakfast but I heard others saying it was good.

I really like staying there and have for many years now when visiting family. I am hoping soon the restaurant re-opens and the bar. The general manager was very easy to talk to and most apologetic with when trying to sort out issues with one staff member who was not at all helpful. I dont expect that to happen again.. I am glad that was resolved. Jackie who is one of the managers who deals with conferences/kitchen/breakfast was wonderful as always and the kitchen makes a great breakfast. Thank you Nick for serving us well at breakfast time. All in all a great stay and hope to return soon.

The shower head wasn’t working properly so it was leaking all over the bathroom floor, the headboard was disgusting( my hair stuck to it, after showering) told the front desk and they said they would have someone come in and clean it wasn’t cleaned. When I spoke to the front desk she said the staff member didn’t know which side it happened, the entire headboard was disgusting. I showed her pictures of the headboard, she stated she could give me points if I was a reward member but due to it being third party booking I needed to speak with Expedia for getting my money back, I don’t want my money back just discounted, it definitely wasn’t what I thought I was paying for two nights. The place looked run down and it was sad I always thought the holiday Inn was better than what I saw. The plastic dark out blinds were ripped , there was a bolt covering missing from the toilet seat, grant it’s little things but not what was represented in how great this hotel is and why I should stay there. It needs some help.
