Interior of the hotel is spectacular and really spacious with many different shops and 2 restaurants. One is Michelin starred restaurant. Got a delux kind bedroom, it was spacious and good amenities. Bathroom is also very functional and with good quality amenities. Staff are very attentive and their service was top notch. They are very courteous. Would absolutely stay here again. If you plan to have breakfast, select the option when making booking to save a few bucks. Huge number of items for breakfast and quite filling and the quality is pretty good. Definitely a 5 star hotel.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La in Chiang Mai. From airport pick-up to check-out we felt cared for and treated well. The friendly staff were always there to answer questions or provide aid. Our rooms were clean, roomy, and always taken care of. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start out each day, with the fruit bar and fresh juice being a highlight. We treated ourselves to a Spa while staying and also loved the easy access to their health club. We will definitely stay here again.

The Shangri La was a lovely way to see Chiang Mai and to organize a day trip to Chiang Rai. The staff are exceptionally professional and kind. Shout-out to Mr. Chaou and the Concierge team. The housekeeping staff made our stay comfortable and when we were sick with a cold they brought us complimentary hot tea. Great memories thank you.

Amazing part of our trip
So amazing! We booked a room and were upgraded to the 12th floor which gave us access to the Horizon Lounge where we got breakfast, happy hour (with real dinner food and alcohol) and a personal concierge. Pat, one of the ladies who works at the concierge was EXTREMELY helpful. She helped with recommendations, getting us a local taxi, and even called the Elephant Nature Park on our behalf to double check our booking (it wasn’t a booking through the hotel). The pool is awesome for kiddos. There are two lifeguards on duty. One thing to note is that the kids’ side hardly gets any sun due to a tall building in the way. They have 5 canopy beds which is first come first serve. We would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Kid corner has insects/ pool has no service , no one come to serve water or take your order , there is an older bar server is extremely rude/ when u ask ice basket it took at least 30-40 minutes to get there and sometimes you has to call twice / pool slide was under repair,it was very loud when you try to lie on pool relax/ breakfast is so under staff as you could wait for a coffee for 20 minutes.

At the outset, I am deeply concerned to find out that your stay with us did not live up to your expectations and I am very concerned to find out about all the grievances you have experienced. I am extremely sorry to learn that you were unhappy with the overall efficiency of our service, be it at the pool or from our housekeeping team. Also, I am really troubled to read that our pool attendant was not as welcoming as expected, but I wish to assure you that at no point in time has he meant to be rude or impolite to you. The poor cleanliness of our kids corner represents another area of concern which will be addressed accordingly. JIAJIA, please, kindly accept my sincerest apologies for all the inconveniences caused and be assured, that all those shortfalls have been duly addressed to our relevant managers for their immediate attention. Also, I fully appreciate your disappointment regarding the temporary closure of the waterslide for annual maintenance, which has unfortunately prevented you from fully enjoying our pool facilities, despite the regular operation of our splash zone and kids pool, and I do sincerely apologize, once again, for any inconvenience this may have caused to you and your family. Rest assured, that no efforts are being spared to maintain our facilities to the highest level of efficiency and safety. We truly value your loyalty and what you experienced does definitely not reflect that level of excellence we are known for and which you came to expect. The facility is quite old. The staff was excellent. There’s a pool and a fitness center with sauna and steam rooms. Breakfast was great but some international delicacies they served were subpar.
