Good for leisure but not for business
This is a lovely hotel that is clean, the food and service is good, but the WiFi on the first floor (Room 22) was terrible which is a shame as I had to work in the evenings and use my phone as a hotspot as my mobile 4G was faster and more stable than the WiFi signal in my room. The reception did ask their IT team to reset the network, but it made no difference.

Arrived to be told I had received a free upgrade to the Master Suite. The room was amazing!

We liked breakfast and bedroom. The. waste bin in the bedroom had previous ladies underwear in it!! The toilet was blocked on the morning when we were leaving, broken tiles in the bathroom and plug hole had so much debri in in when the plug was removed after a bath the debri came to the surface of the bath water.There was no heating , after reporting the lack of heat a male came to check, he said “ if no heat in 30 mins report it again. The heat came on 20 minutes later, for approx 2 hours, not at all in the morning, it was very very cold. All in all a disappointing over night stay. Room 49 needs a lot of TLC .

No better place to stay ❤️
Came for a local birthday party at a different venue and the staff on reception and on the bar couldn’t have been nicer - even tolerated us for drinks at the bar after our night out. Could not fault the room, hotel or staff at all. We left items in a cab on the way back to the hotel and they even helped us track them down. Will certainly be staying here again ❤️

Slightly disappointed that having stayed at the hotel close to ten times, that we were asked upon check-in, if we had been to the hotel before! Must be a cardinal sin in the hospitality industry! Shower temperature was also bordering cold and despite asking two different people, the issue was not addressed. Otherwise stay was very good.

Room felt outdated and carpet could have done with a clean. There was building work going on in other rooms during the stay so I expect that all rooms were going to be updated and refurbished eventually. Didn’t feel that room rate reflected the standard. On a positive note the restaurant was excellent.

Asked to change room as the one I had was directly over entrance to the Banqueting Suite and there was noise from people smoking and chatting outside. The lady on reception was very helpful and gave me a choice of 2 other rooms to move to.

Our room was good and very clean. The staff were super friendly and efficient. For us the breakfadt let it down as food that's kept warm in turines is never as good as freshly cooked. That was the only negative.

the room was a bit cramped for a couple with two large suitcases, the food was good and the location excellent for local beauty spots and for Alderley Edge.
