"We had a lovely week in Chalet Mon Sousou. Every morning we took the bus to the ski gondel, very convenient in front of the chalet. It is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood surrounded by neighbouring houses. "The Hotel L'Arve was in a quieter part of Chamonix which was nice, since the town gets pretty busy. We had a view of Mont Blanc from our patio which was nice. The room was a little awkward in the way that it faces out to the river and a pedestrian pathway just beyond that so it lacked privacy. Also, because there is no air conditioning, the windows stay open at night and we were affected by "people noise" one evening, and "nightclub music noise" another evening. One other noise problem we could hear in our room dealt and brought to their attention was a loudly swinging door in the kitchen which was constant from about 6:00 AM until breakfast service was over. Hopefully they rectified this one. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The lawn area was the total winner for coffee in the morning and reading in the afternoon. Beautiful!"

"A really sweet little ski chalet on the edge of Chamonix. We stayed two nights in July, taking a family room for two adults and two teenagers. The hotel was charming but a little basic: the rooms were quite small and the beds were OK but not great. it was perfectly fine for a two day stop-over but I'm glad we weren't there for a long holiday - it was good to get to a more comfortable bed at our next stop. It's also worth noting there's no air conditioning. In the winter in the mountains, this wouldn't be a problem, but it was 30 degrees when we were there and it was pretty hot in the room at night. The only real downsie is the location. It's on the edge of the twon, which made it very peaceful, but it was too far to walk to the centre of Chamonix and parking in the town centre is tricky. We loved Chamonix and definitely want to visit again, but next time we will stay nearer the town centre"
