We came to stay for Winterfest - me, my husband, our 2 teenagers, and their 2 friends, so 6 folks in all. This resort was perfect for the long weekend! If we were to stay longer, I would definitely spring for larger accommodations but for a quick weekend getaway it was just right. Very close to town, shopping, dining, etc and the views are spectacular! Hope to come back in the summertime and enjoy some of the lake activities!
We had a great memorial day weekend at the ground level condo. The location, right on the water, could not have been more perfect. The only thing to note is the 1 br condo is quite small - including the one bedroom itself - not even a closet (though there is a wardrobe to hang clothes outside of the bedroom). It was a tight squeeze but we enjoyed ourselves and will return!
We really enjoyed our stay. The view was incredible. We loved being close to town. We were disappointed that the water level of the lake wasn’t higher. Which made it the we couldn’t take advantage of using the docks. The pool and hot tub temperature were a bit on the cold side.
We wouldn’t stay here again but it was a last minute trip and our first time so we didn’t have much options to choose from. Although the location was within walking distance to town that was really the only great part of the stay. There is no good lake access, the bedroom was tiny with no closet so we had to keep our luggage out in the living room. The pictures made sq footage look bigger than it is. The tiki bar on property closes at 6pm and smells of puke and bleach, no wonder no one is ever in there. The property is old, the pool is old but the room was remodeled and I got sold on that… no privacy on the ground unit and you can hear the water under the unit, so when it’s quiet it’s kind of like being in a boat. I wouldn’t recommend this unit unless you have kids that want to use the pool all day, but not great for couples and I couldn’t imagine having more than my wife and myself staying in such a small unit.
The ground floor units are the best, you step into the back patio and have instant access to the condos pool and hot tub, or an inch away from the lake! Shops restaurants and beaches all around the corner as well!
Really convenient and near the lake and pool and super safe!!
I would say a few very minor that might help up the stay experience:
Better coffee - maybe a keurig with coffee pods?
Sharper knives
Bigger bbq tongs
Lysol wipes
Better quality pots and pans
