Make staying here a priority for your northern Portugal trip. It provides an amazing haven and break from the rush of travel. The grounds and village are heaven. Impeccably kept. The staff is kind, attentive, caring. The food is gourmet and local for extremely good value. The views are rejuvenating. The pools and sauna were spacious, clean and refreshing. I will find any reason to return! Muito obrigada!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful architecture, nice countryside view

The 4-star hotel, occupies a century-old and renovated building, with a beautiful view of the countryside. I consider it good, but it needs some adjustments for this classification. 1. The staff is fantastic (especially Carolina, a restaurant employee, very friendly and helpful) and they always served us well. 2. The facilities are comfortable. We got an upgrade (from a single room in the basement to another for disabled people on the ground floor). The room is comfortable, although it did not have air conditioning, which made us feel hot at night as all doors were closed). The minibar is minimal, it doesn't cool properly. Adequate lighting, flooring, wall colors, decor OK. 3. The bathroom for people with disabilities: there is no support bench or vanity, the shower is very small, the access door is sliding and has no handle. I don't know how a bathroom like this was approved. 4. There is a large terrace, semi-covered, but without decoration, just a table and two chairs. 5. The room is very noisy due to the heavy rain that falls, as the gutters are very close to the room door. 6. The parking lot is very far from the reception, which makes it difficult to get to the reception on rainy days. 7. Features: The pool is OK, but there are two spas (one with cold water and one that doesn't work). Steam and sauna OK. 8. Breakfast: well served, nothing special for a 4 star hotel. There are regional products, which is very interesting. Overall, the hotel could be rated 3.5 stars.

Instalaciones bien, pero...

Es una pena que un hotel con tan buenas instalaciones y habitaciones tenga el personal que tiene. Salvo alguna excepción, todo parece bastante abandonado: gorros de baño obligatorios en piscina que nadie controla (y mucha gente no los lleva), como no hay vigilancia hay usuarios en la piscina con comportamientos inadecuados, el propio bar de la piscina no tiene camarero que atienda... Es una pena, porque está en un edificio histórico y en recepción nadie te explica nada, ni siquiera qué estancias o salas hay. Además, el desayuno es demasiado pobre. Resumen: demasiado caro para lo que ofrecen, sobre todo por parte del personal.

A beautiful property in northern Portugal. We stayed for only one night and wished we had more time. It was off season so some of the outdoor amenities were closed, however we plan on going back in summertime. Staff was exceptional.

Buen hotel rural 10 minutos de Chaves

Buen hotel a unos 10kms de Chaves. La habitación es grande y cómoda. La terraza es muy amplia. El desayuno es completo, pero si llegas a primera hora (8 am), no tienes la parte del buffet caliente (que llega media hora más tarde). Alguno de los empleados no llevan mascarilla en la sala de desayuno (las chicas sí, pero el señor mayor, no). No sé si es obligatorio llevarla. La piscina está muy bien y la wifi funciona perfectamente.

Wonderful staff, very kind and helpfull. Beautiful surroundings and a nice, clean room. The restaurant serves traditional Portuguese cuisine. The only downside was a very, very cold swimming pool.

Beautifully situated hotel in a small village, with a view to the country side. Spacious room, big veranda right out into the garden. Good food, very friendly staff. The outdoor swimmingpool is all right. There is also indoor swimmingpool and spa, which I did not use. The hotel is hereby recommended

Serviço muito fraco para 4 estrelas

O hotel é muito bonito assim como a zona circundante, mas o serviço não é nem perto de 4 estrelas. O quarto tem pouca iluminação, com uma janela sem cortinas, ou se fecha o estore ou não se tem privacidade, muitas moscas. Muito difícil falar com funcionários porque nunca estava ninguém na recepção, no bar também nunca havia funcionário, era sempre uma longa espera para pedir alguma coisa. Não servem refeições de snack, só fora das refeições com muito pouca variedade e a ementa está muito mal elaborada e como fica num sitio isolado sem supermercados por perto torna se difícil lanchar ou apenas tomar uma bebida. A piscina não tem apoio de funcionários, apenas uma escada para entrar e sair, também não têm guarda sóis para os hóspedes, estao entregues à sua sorte. Não se via vivalma no hotel. O quarto não foi limpo nem as toalhas trocadas, quando questionamos o porquê foi nos dito que a limpeza era feita até às 17h, sendo que já eram 17.20h. O pequeno almoço é muito básico, muito pouca variedade, nada de pratos quentes como ovos ou bacon, nem um iogurte evos bolos eram nitidamente de pacote. Muito longe de ser um pequeno almoço de hotel 4 estrelas.

Medíocre e qualidade pouco consistente

Restaurante não vale a pena. Pouca oferta e confecção medíocre. A recepcionista do Hotel no check-in desagradável, apesar de existir Staff simpático. Piscina e espaço exterior bonito e agradável. Colchão da cama de fraca qualidade fica a doer as costas . A não repetir . Não sei como consegue ter a pontuação alta .
