Plan your one-of-a-kind getaway at Loft on St. Elmo, a historic gem with a hipster vibe and jazzy flare. A garland of lights welcomes you into the bounteous entertaining space with grand ceilings, exposed beams, original brick, & hardwood floors. Open the double French doors to the patio, creating a seamless indoor/ outdoor space to relax and unwind. Loft on St. Elmo, by Lookout Mountain, offers the prime location for downtown fun and outdoor adventures.

This home is located in the beautiful town of St. Elmo Chattanooga right on the historical street, St. Elmo Avenue. This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom home sleeps 4 people. The master bedroom has a spacious king bed and the two yellow couches in the living area that fold down into twin beds. We provide everything you will need to have a wonderful nights stay; including mattress pads for the sofa beds, linens, comforters and pillows. The adorable red kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you will need to cook a meal for your family; cookware, plate-ware, silverware. The dining table comfortably sits 6 people and there is another table with seating for 6 outside on the patio.

This property is not suitable for young children. PARKING: MAX 3 SPOTS (It is the gravel driveway along the side/behind the house.)

Perfect staycation!

Loved the place! The street light directly across from the front wasn't pleasant. Wish there was some blackout curtains as an option there. Traffic was loud at times but we were aware of that beforehand. Contact with property manager was easy and they were quick to respond. Place was very clean and enjoyed the filtered water. Would recommend!

The perfect stay

Stayed here over a quick 2 nights, and the property couldn't have been any better. Perfectly equipped, quirky, and extremely comfortable! Very high quality in every way. Nice, historic, quiet neighborhood and I'd stay here again alone or with my husband!

Perfect house for 2 people for a weekend in Chattanooga. Located near major tourist sites and good restaurants in the St. Elmo area. Beautifully decorated and well-appointed :)

Cozy little home

We loved this property and its very eclectic vibe. It was a perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is just a stone’s throw away from restaurants and attractions. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful place fun and hip

Loved staying here! The place was hip and the bed was very comfortable the only thing that was a small issue was how long it took to heat the place but once it got up there it worked better. The water was great and we really liked everything about it! Would stay here again!

Great spot to escape

The property was clean, unique, well appointed, and comfortable. We enjoyed the amenities as well as the location being close to hiking, downtown, Lookout mountain, North Shore and St Elmo’s development.

Great little space close to restaurants, bars & downtown. Easy access to Lookout Mtn and Ruby Falls.

Had a great time staying here. The place was convenient to all the amenities within Chattanooga. It is a little noisy as it is on a main street through town. I highly recommend this place to a couple looking for a convenient place to stay to take advantage of all Chattanooga has to offer

Wonderful Stay!!

My husband, our daughter from another state, and I had the pleasure of staying in this clean, well stocked property in a wonderful residential neighborhood in Chattanooga. The location of the property was very close to area attractions and had easy access to local highways. If we ever have the pleasure of coming to this area again, we will definitely try to stay here.

Life is stressful and we needed a break. We had an awesome stay at this vrbo with a great vibe. It was close to attractions and downtown. We divided our time between exploring and relaxing at the vrbo. The property was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Amazing loft birthday celebration

We absolutely loved our visit at the st.elmo loft. Loved everything about it. We recommend it to any couple or small family wanting to just get away for a few days. We were celebrating a birthday weekend and ended up having dinner at 1885. Most other times we just hung out there and relaxed. Was perfect stay.

A Great Adventure

Staying in an updated historic loft that is beautifully decorated, made us feel so comfortable. There is a park across the street and the loft is near the base of Lookout Mountain. There is so much to see and do within a few minutes walk or short drive. The scenery was beautiful and so was the architecture in the neighborhood. Local people were helpful. We will be back because there is more to explore.

Fun space

“The most comfortable sofa bed I’ve ever slept on” — A., 10, who does have much experience in such matters. The adult bed was super comfy too. Well-appointed, fun space. Interesting back story (explained in the welcome binder on the desk). Right on St. Elmo Ave, but really appreciated the gravel pull-through parking alongside. Easy access to Virginia Ave Greenway (scoot to ice cream!) St. Elmo is a great neighborhood, and this met our needs for a great weekend!

Amazing place!

This place is just as gorgeous as the pictures made it out to be, was well stocked with everything we needed for trip, and was just simply awesome. These hosts have thought carefully about everything you might need to make your stay more comfortable and executed the hospitality to perfection. My kids are 10 and 8 and loved the park that’s basically across the street. There was some traffic noise, but that didn’t impact our love of the place. Additionally, if you have super young kids, be aware that the shelves are open and glass cups may be within reach. I would gladly stay here every time I come back to Chattanooga. It hits all the “cool vibes” and “useful things you need” boxes.

Neighborhood Gem!

The Loft is at the base of Lookout Mountain. The location could not be more perfect as it is within minutes from Rock City Garden and Ruby Falls. Located in the historic neighborhood of St. Elmo, it is a charming space. It was interesting to read all about the history of the neighborhood. The Loft was extremely clean and plenty of amenities. As stated in the listing, St. Elmo is a busy street but the main bedroom is at the back of the house and truly isn’t an issue. We visited Coker Museum which is a must if you are a car buff like my husband. We had lunch at Massey’s Kitchen on Lookout Mountain and it was delicious. So many things to do in the area and the Loft is a little “gem” to return to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing.

Roomy convenient

The rental is an old grocery store turned into a one bedroom with a great room. It’s MASSIVE. There was plenty of room for us, and our preteen niece and nephew! They even got their own beds with the futons. The location is great- ten minutes from the aquarium and literally around the corner from Lookout Mountain. Be aware, the blinds in the front are not blackout, and the street lamp outside is very bright. We ended up getting eye masks for the kids, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Thank you!

Lovely Property & Stay Except for A/C Outage

Unit is just as lovely as the photos and very clean. The location on St Elmo does come with traffic noise, so ear plugs are a good idea, if you are light sleepers (like us). The soft bed and luxury sheets / pillows are super nice. The historic neighborhood is in transition, as older homes gentrify, but overall felt safe. The A/C went out during our hot July stay, but management provided options (change to alternate unit or stay in hotel) and made the repair next day. While this could happen at anytime ( or at any property), it was disruptive to our trip and made for unexpected challenges. Regardless, we gave top ratings for the overall score, noting concerns for the larger neighborhood and communication challenges related to the A/C outage event.
